If you wish to visit Denmark/Iceland for a short period of time, you must obtain a visa prior to entry if you come from a country with a visa requirement for entering Denmark/Iceland.

The application must be submitted to the Embassy representing the Schengen country targeted as the main purpose of the journey or for the longest stay. Purpose of stay supersedes length of stay. If the main purpose of the journey cannot be determined, the application must be submitted to the Embassy representing the country of first entry into the Schengen area.

A visa normally grants you the right to stay in the entire Schengen region. The Schengen countries are: Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden and Switzerland.
A visa grants you the right to spend a maximum of 90 days per 6 months in the Schengen region.
All visa applications should be signed by the applicant personally. |

All fields in the application form must be filled in correctly. If not, the application will be rejected. |

The application forms and all documents presented, originals as well as copies, must be readable. The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents and/or information when processing the application. |

Non-Indonesian nationals must stay legally in Indonesia, either on the basis of a visa for Indonesia or on a valid work/residence permit in Indonesia. |

Invitation letter (business/personal) should be attached to the application and sent by email to the Embassy’s email address: jktamb@um.dk before application is submitted at the Visa Application Centre. For personal invitation, photocopy of identity of the host (passport and/or proof of residence status in Denmark/Iceland) must also be attached to the application and sent via email.. |

For children under the age of 18 years old (Minor), visa application form must also bear signature of both parents. |

Travel Medical Insurance:
Applicants who are granted a visa are required to present proof of travel medical insurance covering minimum EURO 30.000,- valid for the entire stay in the Schengen area. The proof of travel medical insurance shall be presented in original together with one photocopy before issuance of the visa. Other information:
Upon entry in Schengen the immigration/passport control is entitled to require proof of travel medical insurance as well as other supporting documents for the application. Travelers are therefore advised to bring all documents when traveling to Schengen.

Step 1
Applications for Danish / Icelandic short-stay visa are accepted at the Visa Application Centre.
Step 2
Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how long it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Embassy of Denmark.
