With effect from the 13 May 2012 it will not any longer be possible to apply for visa and residence permit to Denmark and Norway through VFS and/or the Danish Embassy in Damascus. Visa and residence applications can be submitted after this date to the Norwegian Embassy in Amman in Jordan or another Danish representation issuing visa and residence permits. Visa and residence applications delivered to VFS or the Danish Embassy in Damascus before the 13 May 2012 will be processed according to usual procedures.

The Embassy of Denmark (Representing Norway and Iceland), and the Consulate General of Denmark in Damascus are pleased to announce the opening of the Visa Application Centre.

The visa applications could be submitted at the visa application centre in Damascus . Applications submitted in Damascus will be assessed by The Embassy of Denmark, located in Damascus. We offer the option of courier service for return of passport and documents submitted, directly to your door step.

For Prospective Applicants

Applicants who wish to apply for a Visa are requested to kindly read the information on this site carefully. The guidelines listed on this site are to help you prepare your documents as accurately as possible. This will reduce the risk of your application being incomplete or take a longer time to being processed.

Please note that personal appearance is always required, an entry clearance officer / manager would require a personal interview at The Embassy of Denmark, Damascus/ The Consulate General of Denmark,  prior to a decision being taken on your application. The Visa Application Centre shall assist you to take an appointment for the same.

Step 1 :	Applications for Danish visa and residence permit are accepted at the Visa Application Centre.
Step 2 :	Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how long it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of The Embassy of Denmark, Damascus / The consulate General of Denmark.

Step 4 :	Please ensure you read the security regulation notices before you visit the Visa Application Centre. "Note: Applicants Applying for Family and Friend visit should have at least 46 Euro per day in their bank account for the duration of their stay in Denmark. Applicants Applying for a Business Visa should have at least 66 Euro in their bank account for the duration of their stay in Denmark
