Launch of French Government “France-Visas” website. Visit this website for comprehensive information on visas and on how to apply: STEP 1: check whether you need a visa and prepare your application; STEP 2: check who can examine your application; STEP 3: fill your visa application form and STEP 4: book an appointment to submit your application in VFS GLOBAL visa application centre. The French spouse applicants, who have complete documents with marriage transcription certificate and "livret de famille", are free of service charge and visa fee, and do not require an appointment to submit the application at the French Visa Application Centre.
The Visa Application Centre in Abu Dhabi will only accept Visa Applications From persons holding residency issued by the Emirate of Al Ain and Abu Dhabi. Persons residing in the Emirates of Dubai / Sharjah / Ras Al Khaimah / Ajman / Umm Al-Quwain/ Fujairah would have to submit their applications to The Visa Application Centre in Dubai.

Important Notice: Introduction of VAT component on service charges at the Visa Application Centre.
The United Arab Emirates has announced the introduction of VAT (Value Added Tax) effective Monday, 01 January 2018, at a standard rate of 5%. VAT will be collected on taxable supplies of goods and services in the UAE, wherever applicable.
In accordance with the new VAT Law, VFS GCC LLC will be required to charge and collect VAT on services provided at the Application Centres and pay it to the Federal Tax Authority. VAT is a consumption tax that end users (applicants) shall pay and VFS GCC LLC will play the role of a collection agent on behalf of the taxation authority.

Dubai: Please be informed The Malta Visa Application Centre in Dubai will be closed from Wednesday, 22 August 2018 to Thursday, 23 August 2018. The next working day for Dubai will be on Sunday, 26 August 2018.
Abu Dhabi: Please be informed The Malta Visa Application Centre in Abu Dhabi will be closed from Monday, 20 August 2018 to Wednesday, 22 August 2018 on the occasion of Eid Al Adha. The next working day for Abu Dhabi will be on Thursday, 23 August 2018.
Have your passport couriered back to you instead of collecting it from the VAC.
The visa application centre will courier your passport back to you once a decision has been made regarding your application. You can purchase this service at the visa application centre for a fee of 35.00 AED. Please enquire about this service when you submit your visa application at one of the VFS Global service desks.
You do not need to pay the additional courier fee if availing the Premium lounge service.
Applicants using this service can have their photograph taken at the Visa Application Centre.
This will ensure that the photographs meet Embassy’s specifications.
This service can be bought for an extra fee of 25.00 Dirhams for 4 passport size photographs.
Photocopying Documents Service:
You may avail this service at the photocopying booth in the Visa Application Centre for a fee of AED 2/-.

You do not need to pay the additional Courier, SMS and photocopying fee if availing the Premium Lounge Service.
Your visa will be processed and decided by The Embassy of France in UAE. Availing the Premium Lounge Service does not mean that your visa will be processed faster.
