VFS Global has been appointed as the outsourced partner by the Embassy of France in Abu Dhabi, to facilitate visa applications to France and Schengen countries. This site is a part of the Embassy of France, Abu Dhabi, to ease the visa application process for the residents in the Emirates of Abu Dhabi & Al Ain.

The territories of operation of the Embassy are mainly - the Emirates of Abu Dhabi & Al Ain.

The French Embassy in Abu Dhabi is not allowed to issue a visa to a non UAE resident
Visa Application Process
Please note applications are accepted only through prior appointments. Appointments can be scheduled through this website by paying the online service charges. The appointment dates are subject to availability hence all applicants are advised to schedule their appointments well in advance!

Step 1 : Prepare your application and supporting documents: Go to ‘All about your visas’ link on this website and find out details related to the visa category you want to apply for – here, you can find the applicable fee, documents required, Visa application form and more.
Step 2 : Schedule an appointment: All applicants aged 12 years and above will need to apply for the visa in person. Schedule an online appointment for the preferred date and time for each applicant and as the availability. You may opt to apply for the regular or the Premium Lounge services at the Centre for a personalized service. The appointment letter will need to be presented at the application centre on the day of submission. Applicants below 18 years must be accompanied by the father or mother to apply for a visa.
Kindly note that the application for France will be accepted only if your travel is within next 90 days.
Step 3 : Submit your application: Visit Visa Application Centre as per appointment scheduled and submit your completed Visa Application Forms along with required supporting documents.
Step 4 : Pay applicable Fee: Please check ‘Visa Fee’ table provided under the visa category you are applying for. Visa Application Centre accepts the fee in CASH ONLY. Submission Officer at the Visa Application Centre will advise you on total payable amount in local currency only (AED). A receipt will be provided for all payments made at the Centre.

Please note:
At the time of submission at the Visa Application Centre, applicant has the choice to:

a) subscribe for Courier Service for return of passport
b) subscribe for SMS Service where Visa Application Centre sends application status on applicant’s mobile and via email

For those applicants who wish to pay extra for that personal touch and enhanced customer service, this service will guarantee you one-to-one attention with a dedicated member of staff who will guide you to a separate waiting area.

Here, your application will be dealt with in stylish surroundings with refreshments available. We will also undertake any photocopying of documents that you may require.

You have to book an online appointment to submit your application. Premium Service can be availed on the day of appointment by requesting at the reception.

Once returned from the Consulate, your passport will be couriered to your home or office and can also be collected from our Centre(upon request only).

There is an additional fee of AED 250 for this service.

Please note that this service does not guarantee a faster turnaround time for processing of visas by the Embassy.

TRACK YOUR APPLICATION
After submission of documents at the Visa Application Centre, you can also check status of your application online by simply providing the unique VAC Reference Number and your Date of Birth. VAC reference number (starts with FRAD) can be found on the Invoice-Cum-Receipt provided by the Submission Officer at the application centre at the time of submission.
