- All applicants are advised to book their travel plan upon obtaining an appropriate Visa/OCI. VFS will not be responsible for any loss for any bookings made in anticipation of obtaining a Visa/OCI.
- Please note Indian visas are valid / issued from date of issue not from Date of Travel.
- The practice of accepting visa applications on handwritten or non-Machine Readable passports is hereby discontinued with immediate effect, except in cases requiring emergency visits to India.
However, nationals of Afghanistan, applying on Afghan non-machine readable / handwritten passports are exempted from this requirement till 24 November 2017. - All applicants are requested to check the list of Consular Holidays before visiting the Centre
