From 1 June 2012
applicants who are granted visas will no longer be issued with visa labels. Valid visa holders will be able travel using the passport that they had used to apply for the visa. As we have gone visa label free there is no need to submit your original passport, however you must carry your original passport during submission
. We will return your original passport on the same day and the Australian High Commission will send an email notification once the decisions are made.
Australia’s modern electronic visa system does not
require you to have a visa label placed in your passport to confirm you immigration status and entitlements in Australia.
