Work and Holiday Visa (subclass 462)
This visa is for people aged 18 to 30 who want to travel and work up to 12 months in Australia. Work must only be temporary or casual employment. The Australian High Commission in Kuala Lumpur processes Work and Holiday visa applicants who hold Malaysian passports.
Under the Malaysia/Australia Work and Holiday program an annual limit of 100 Work and Holiday visas are available each year. Once all visas have been allocated, there will be no new visa grants until July of the following year.
Interest and demand for the Work and Holiday visa are very high and it is recommended that applicants should prepare their visa applications early to avoid disappointment. In the past, all 100 places have been allocated on the first day.
Eligibility
You may be eligible for a Work and Holiday visa if you:

are aged 18 to 30 years (inclusive) on the date you apply |
|
hold a Malaysian citizen passport |
|
have a Malaysian Certificate of Good Conduct |
|
have not previously held a Working Holiday (417) or Work and Holiday (462) visa |
|
have functional English |
|
hold a degree, or have successfully completed at least two (2) years of undergraduate university study. |

Lodgement
Lodgement of applications for the Work and Holiday visa will be available from
Monday 29 July 2013. Applications will not be accepted before this date.
To lodge your application, you will need to make an appointment. Walk-ins without appointments will not be accepted. Applicants who have made an appointment will need to personally attend the VFS office at the allotted time.
