JANUARY 18, 2012
The Australia Visa Application Centers in Nigeria will operate from 8 am till 4 pm for the dates 17 till 20 January, 2012. Please note this is only to facilitate the applicants as they were not able to file their visa applications during strike period. The timings for the application centre will be back to usual (8 am till 3 pm, Monday – Friday) from 23 January, 2012 onwards.

The Australia Visa Application Centres in Nigeria will remain close on Monday i.e. 9 January, 2012. This is keeping in purview the anticipated strike called in. In case if the strike is called off, the visa application centre will resume as normal on Monday.

Visa fee change wef 1 January 2012
The visa fee for Australia visa applications will be revised from 1 January 2012. All the applications received at Australian High Commission, Pretoria from 1 January 2012 onwards should be with the new fee. Considering the transit time of applications from Nigeria to Pretoria, the Australia Visa Application centers in Nigeria will start collecting the new visa fee from 29 December 2011 onwards. Please refer to the visa fee list for the new structure.

Visa fee change wef 1 July 2011
The visa fee for Australia visa applications will be revised from 1July 2011. All the applications received at Australian High Commission, Pretoria from 1 July 2011 onwards should be with the new fee. Visa fee payment procedure effective 20 August 2010
The Australian High Commission advices that it can only accept payment of the Australian Government visa application charge/fee in the form of US Dollars paid in cash at VFS Centre.

New Payment Procedure:

Australian Government visa application fee to be paid in USD in cash at VFS Centre.
The VFS administration fee should be paid separately at the bank branch located at VFS centre
Applicant’s name & passport number will be required to be mentioned as "Depositor’s name"

Visa fee payment procedure effective 1 July 2010

The Australian High Commission advices that it can only accept payment of the Australian Government visa application charge/fee in the form of US Dollars paid in cash into the account of Australian High Commission with Citibank, Nigeria.

New Payment Procedure:

Australian Government visa application fee to be paid in USD in cash at Citibank Branch into “Australia High Commission” account no. 0002194023.
The VFS administration fee should be paid separately at the bank branch located at VFS centre
Please provide the bank pay in slip (for the visa application fee) Applicant’s name & passport number will be required to be mentioned as "Depositor’s name"

Visa fee payment procedure effective 1 June 2010
The Australian high Commission Advises that due to Australian Financial Legislation, it can only accept payment of the Australian Government visa Application charge/fee in the form of a demand draft. the demand draft must be in us dollars, made payable to 'Australian high Commission'. note that the Australian high Commission cannot accept demand draft in any currency other than us dollar, and it cannot accept personal cheque

Payment Procedure

Australian Government visa application fee to be paid by a bank issued demand draft payable to 'Australian High Commission'
The VFS administration fee should be paid separately at the bank branch located at VFS branch
Please provide the original demand draft (for the visa application fee).
