The services mentioned here are optional. To use them, you will need to pay an extra fee in addition to the visa application fee. You must pay this extra fee when you attend the visa application centre only.
SMS Service
VFS Global is pleased to be able to offer an SMS service which updates customers in Sri Lanka on the progress of their Australia visa application. The easy to use SMS service sends an automated message to the applicant's mobile phone at various stages of the visa application process. The service supports the transfer of SMS text in English only. This is followed up with an automated email message to the applicant's email informing them of the status of their visa application. At the end of the process you will receive an automated email message (in English only) to your registered email address, informing you that the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC) has made a decision on your visa application and your documents have been returned by them.
This optional service can be purchased for LKR 270.00 (inclusive of VAT) at the time a customer submits the visa application. The form can be obtained from the Visa application centre. Please read the

Photo Booth
There is a photo booth inside the visa application centre. The cost of 4 photographs (which meet the required specification for visa applications) is LKR 300.00.
Photocopy facilities
There is a photocopier in the visa application centre. The cost of one copy (single or double-sided) is LKR 5.
Courier Passport Delivery
Applicants may have processed documents returned to their door step without having to attend the application centre to collect the same. The cost vary based on the location of delivery within the Island and will fall into following zones. The courier request form is available at the application centre and you may enquire from an officer at the centre to find the correct Zone for your address.

Note: Please note that the deliveries will take a maximum of 48 hours from the time of return to application centre from Australian High Commission. Applicant is required to be present at the time of delivery with the original receipt. Failing which, an authorized person should produce the original receipt and a letter of authorization from original applicant to collect it on applicant’s behalf.

Important note:
Your visa will be processed and decided by the Department of Immigration and Citizenship (DIAC). Use of the premium service lounge does not affect the processing time or decision of your application.
What does it cost?
The premium service lounge facilities are charged at LKR.3750/- plus VAT. This charge is in addition to the visa application fee.
