Applicants need to produce their original invoice-cum receipt for passport
collection. Where the applicant is unable to collect their own documents, an
authorised person can do so on their behalf. The authorised person will be
required to present a letter of authorisation which includes both the
applicants and authorised person’s signature. The authorised person will also
be required to present photo ID, such as a passport or drivers licence, and the
original invoice-cum receipt.
There is no change in Australian immigration requirements and the
decision-making process for the grant of Australian visas will remain with the
Australian High Commission in Colombo. All applications continue to be assessed
on their merits in accordance with Australian legislation and policy.
Please note: Due to security concerns, VFS do not permit
interested parties such as friends, relatives or business contacts to accompany
visa applicants. Therefore it is strongly recommended that applicant alone
attend the VFS office to avoid any inconvenience. However, interpreters are
allowed to accompany hearing-impaired / physically challenged applicants.
