Effective 15 March 2016, holders of valid Chinese Diplomatic passports are allowed to travel to the Schengen region for a period of up to 90 days in a 180 day period, without having to obtain a Schengen visa.

Effective 14 May 2014, enrolment for Biometrics is mandatory for all visa applications. For more information on the requirements, exceptions, exemptions call the contact centre. Any applicants who have not lodged their application in person till 13 May or have not provided the missing documents will be required to appear in person for Biometric enrolment. Contact centre tam will contact all applicants who require to visit the centre for Biometric enrolment to make an appointment.

New Joint Visa Application Centre opens in Adelaide, Brisbane, Canberra, Melbourne, Perth and Sydney, Australia
VFS Global as a part of a contract awarded by Government of Austria (also representing Germany and Latvia) and Norway, (also representing Sweden and Iceland) will provide Joint Visa Application Centre (JVAC) services to applicants wishing to travel to these countries.
JVACs will provide increased access and enhanced administrative services to applicants through a consistent service delivery approach, which will also support biometrics implementation.
VFS Global is pleased to announce the opening of the Joint Visa Application Centre (JVAC) operated by VFS Services Australia Pty. Ltd. on 21.03.2014
The JVAC is authorised to provide administrative support services, such as the collection of visa applications, fees and return of passports in sealed decision envelopes to applicants. The JVAC can also assist in scheduling interviews on behalf of the visa offices.
The decision to issue or refuse a visa is made solely by immigration officers, in accordance with immigration visa rules and guidelines. The JVAC has no role or influence over the outcome of an application and will not offer any evaluative advice.
