The Consulate General of France, Istanbul is pleased to announce the opening of their Visa Application Centre from 31 Jan 2011. Visa Application Centre will accept Short Term applications only and take appointment for long stay visa. This site provides with details related to your application submission and collection process along with other useful information you need to know.

All applications collected by the Visa Application Centre will be sent to The Consulate General of France in Istanbul for assessment and resolution. Visa Application Centre staff has no say in the visa decisions taken by The Consulate General of France, Istanbul.

Step 1 :	Prepare your application and supporting documents: Go to ‘All about your visas’ link on this website and find out details related to the visa category you want to apply for – here, you can find the applicable fee, documents required, Visa application form and more.
Step 2 :	Book an appointment to visit Visa Application Centre: To visit Visa Application Centre you need to book an appointment, book appointment here. You can either book an appointment online or by calling the Call Centre. All Accredited Travel Agents need to make an appointment to submit the Visa Application. To book an appointment, click here
Step 3 :	Submit your application: Visit Visa Application Centre as per appointment scheduled and submit your completed Visa Application Forms along with required supporting documents.
Step 4 :	Pay applicable Fee: Submission Officer will advise you on total payable amount in Euro(Visa Fee + Service fee in Euro) and if an applicant opts for additional services, then the payment will be done in Turkish Liras, Receipt will be provided for all payments made at the Centre.

At the time of submission at the Visa Application Centre, applicant has the choice to:

Subscribe for Courier Service for return of passport, avail the photocopy and photograph facilities.

After submission of documents at the Visa Application Centre, you can also check status of your application online by simply providing the unique VAC Reference Number and your Date of Birth. VAC reference number can be found on the Invoice-Cum-Receipt provided by the Submission Officer at the application centre at the time of submission.
