VFS Global has been appointed as the outsourced partner by the Consulate General of the Federal Republic of Germany in UAE to facilitate visa applications to Germany. The Visa Application Centre in Abu Dhabi will only accept Visa Applications from persons holding residency issued by the Emirate of Al Ain and Abu Dhabi. Persons residing in the Emirates of Dubai / Sharjah / Ras Al Khaimah / Ajman / Umm Al-Quwain/ Fujairah would have to submit their applications to The Visa Application Centre in Dubai.
UAE passports with 2 years validity wherein the nationality is not mentioned will need to apply for a visa to travel to Germany. Holders of such passports are therefore advised to apply for a visa with their original nationality passport.
Please note incase the person does not hold any other passport, then he/she can apply with the UAE passport; however the visa processing will take a minimum of 6-8 weeks.
Complete documentation as per checklist is mandatory.
Important Notice for Cabin Crew/Pilots
The original passport must be submitted along with the application on the day of the appointment. Cabin crew/Pilots will be allowed to withdraw their passports after 2 working days from the respective application centre in Dubai or Abu Dhabi.
Passports MUST be resubmitted at the Visa Application Centre within 15 calendar days from the date at which it was withdrawn. In case an applicant is aware in advance that this will not be possible due to professional reasons, the VFS counter staff must be informed to make a note on their application/checklist.
