All About Visas

Greece is a member state of the European Union and a part of the Schengen Treaty. These two capacities determine visa requirements for foreign citizens who wish to visit Greece.
A Schengen visa is needed when you are visiting one or several of the countries of the Schengen Area (i.e. Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Iceland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Slovakia , Slovenia , Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Liechtenstein).
The duration of your total stay in Schengen countries shall not exceed 90 days in a period of 6 months, starting from the date of first entry.
You have to apply for a Schengen visa in Cairo, Egypt:
If the main destination for the Schengen country where you will spend the longest time is Greece, or if you are spending the same duration of days in several Schengen countries, but Greece is your first port of entry into the Schengen Area.
All the governments can apply at Cairo visa application center except that their passport was issued in the following offices 18, 19, 20, 21, 36 & 37 (they have to apply at the Greek consulate of Alexandria).
For security reasons only applicants can enter the visa application center, while the accompanied family members, friends etc., should stay outside the visa application center.
Applicants are requested not to call the Consulate General about the approval of their application, but to wait to be informed thereon by the Consulate General
