You can apply for your application depending on where in Australia you currently reside, also known as jurisdiction. You must submit your application, based on jurisdiction. Applications can be applied either in person with Appointment or via postal system.

Recommended Option 1: By Express POST/Courier

Sending your application by Express POST is the preferred option as this will save you the need to travel to specific IP&VSC locations as well as queue and wait times. Average queue times in Peak Seasons of August to December may range from 20-30 minutes and may be longer during lunch rush hours.

  • Please do not send return self-addressed envelopes as the same is not accepted, Applications sent by Post/Courier, will be returned by Courier only.
  • You must send your application to the designated P.O.Box Address based on the jurisdiction where you are applying from.

Option 2: Queue in Person with Appointment

If you choose to submit your application in person, you will need to submit the same at an India Passport and Visa Application Centre based on your jurisdiction and your appointment time.
