Return of Passports

Track Your Application:

You can track your visa application on the VFS website www.vfsglobal.com/india/iran/ using the reference number……………………………………, which is stated on your original receipt. On the VFS website, you should first click on the link “Track Your Application”, and then enter your reference number and date of birth to find out the status of your visa application.

Applicants who have applied at the Indian Visa Application Centers and have opted to collect their processed passport in person need to produce some form of photo identification, such as your birth certificate or your national ID card

The Embassy of India reserves the right to delay the processing times, if the supporting documents submitted are incomplete or if further checks are required. Please note that staff members at the India visa application centre have no influence over the processing time and the decision on the application submitted. This is entirely the prerogative of the Embassy of India in Tehran.

If you are unable to attend in person, your immediate family members such as your parents, child or siblings can collect your passport on your behalf. To do this, your family member must submit your original application receipt, your birth certificate and their own birth certificate, so that we are able to verify the family relationship before delivering the passport.

If a third party is collecting your passport on your behalf, they must submit the original legal power of attorney document for this purpose. The third party should also submit your original application receipt, your photo identification document, such a birth certificate or national ID card and their own photo identification document such as birth certificate or national ID card.
