Mandatory information required to be submitted for all categories:

1) Name of the Employer/Company/Address and Telephone No.

2) Individual Business Profile/ company profile (Trade License/ Memorandum & article, (Form 9, Form 24, Form 49) - (One copy)

3) National Identity Card/ Passport- (One copy)

4) Recent photographs of the employer/ Authorised representative signing the contract on behalf of the Company ( Three photographs)

5) KDN’s Approval and English translation of KDN’s Approval by the Court Interpreter (Original to be seen and returned )- (One copy)

6) Letter of undertaking to have seal of Notary Public and certified by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs

7) EMI Form and Employment Contract has to be filled in triplicate and must be signed in the presence of the High Commission, after approval either by the Owner/ Proprietor/ Director of the Company.

8) Security Bond/ Security Deposit Receipt copy or Bank guarantee (as the case may be)- (Two copies)

9) Power of Attorney and Demand Letter for appointment of recruitment agent in India to have seal of Notary Public and certified by the Ministry of foreign Affairs.

10) After attestation by the high Commission, the employer has to send one set (EMI Form & Employment Contract with its enclosures) to the Employees or to his/ her/ their Agents in India to enable him/ her/ them to submit the same to the Area Protector of Emigrants and acceptance of terms and conditions of Contract so as to obtain ‘No Objection certificate’ to leave India for employment in Malaysia

11) Foreign Worker Insurance Scheme Policy/ undertaking in their letter head- (Two copies)

12) Applications from Outsourced companies are not accepted for EMI.


Other important information for Employer:

i. Consular fee for attestation in respect of each employee is RM85.00

ii. No alternation/ variation to the contract of employment will be acceptable

iii. All forms are required to be typed and submitted in triplicate

iv. Minimum processing time: Ten working days

v. Minimum wages for the employee in various categories are as follows:


Unskilled

Restaurant Workers – (RM800/- per month)
Construction Workers - (RM800/- per month)
General Workers - (RM800/- per month)
Plantation Workers including - (RM800/- per month)
Farm Workers - (RM800/- per month)

Skilled
Skilled workers of all trade to be paid minimum wages of RM 1200/- per month

Attach all supporting documents as per the requirement of the High Commission of India. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications cannot be accepted.

Submit your application at the India Passport and Other Consular Services Centre.

Track your application online

Step 8
Your passport and attested documents will be returned to you by the mode of delivery selected by you once processed. Allow for 2-3 days transit time for courier return applications. Transit times differ by location and do not take into account any public holidays.
