Q.1 Do I Need Visa?

Q.2 What should I do after submitting the Visa?
Ans Log on to the website, www.vfsglobal.com/italy/abudhabi or call our Contact Centre on +971 2 6716630 to check your application status. It is advisable to check the application status only after the average processing time mentioned in this website.
 
 
Q.3 What will happen if I am called for an interview?
Ans VFS Office will contact you. You need to go to the application centre where you submitted your visa application to collect an interview letter.
 
 
Q.4 In case of Schengen Visa, where will my interview be held?
Ans At the Embassy of Italy, Al Nahayan street corner, Delma Street, Plot 350 W 14 – 02 Batine P O BOX 46752 Abu Dhabi.The Payment receipt provided by the JVAC will carry the Interview date & time.
 
 
Q.5 What do I need to carry for the interview?
Ans Interview letter, original documents which you did not submit at the time of application and any additional documents requested by the Embassy of Italy, Abu Dhabi
 
 
Q.6 What will happen after the interview?

Q.7 If the visa is issued:
Ans
a) Courier Case: your passport will be delivered at the address provided by you by courier. You need to hand over the stamped photocopy of the data page to the courier person to get the delivery.
b) Non-Courier Case: you will be able to collect your passport from the Visa Application Centre where you submitted your application, on the next day after the visa is issued: - Between 1500 hrs - 1700 hrs
 
 
Q.8 If the visa is refused
Ans your passport & other documents will be handed over to you at the Visa Application Centre where you applied.

Q.10 What is the maximum duration of authorized stay in the Schengen Area?
Ans For the vast majority of third-country nationals – irrespective of being visa required or exempt – who intend to travel to the Schengen area for a short stay, the maximum duration of authorized stay is defined as "90 days in any 180-day period”. The date of each entry shall be considered as the first day of stay on the territory of the Member States and the date of the relevant exit shall be considered as the last day of stay on the territory of the Member States. Before each and every trip Visa holders are kindly invited to check the number of days they are allowed to spend in the Schengen Area, considering their previous stays, according to the rule by using the short-say calculator provided by the European Commission on Click here.
