Kindly note:

Personal appearance of applicant is required.
All documents must be submitted in original as well as in a clear photocopy at the time of making an application.
List of documents:
Application form duly completed and signed by applicant and phone number.
Passport (or other travel document recognized by the Italian Government) valid for minimum three months after expiry of requested visa and containing at least 2 empty pages and validity not exceeding 10 years.
Two recent full face color photos, passport size (45 mm x 35 mm), taken against a light background.
Previous passport in original if any.
Kenyan I.D. Card.
For other nationalities, Kenyan resident permit or re-entry stamp in passport valid for minimum 3 months after expiry of the visa requested.
Birth and/or marriage certificate may be required.
Invitation/proof of purpose of travel.
letter of invitation from an Italian Company (with proof of its registration with the Italian Chamber of Commerce, or other similar authorization) specifying its own activity, the aim of the applicant’s trip, period of stay and accommodation provided; the Company will also ensure that the applicant will leave the Italian territory within the expiry of the visa.
Letter addressed to the Embassy from the local Company (on letter-headed paper bearing the company’s stamp and the signature of the managing director) indicating its business activities, the applicant’s details and his/her position in the same company, the duration and aim of the trip, as well as the name, address and telephone number of the Italian company he/she intends to visit. The letter will also specify if the company will cover the expenses of the stay.
Proof of sufficient funds or evidence of maintenance in host country (credit cards, bank statements etc).
Certificate of registration of the local company.
Company’s bank account relevant to the last six months.
Documentation proving personal socio-economic status (property deeds, bank statements, employment contract, etc).
Travel/Health Medical Insurance, valid for all Schengen Countries, the entire period of staying and minimum coverage EUR 30.000.

Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. We have no say on whether you will be granted a visa or how much time it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Consulate of Italy to decide on.
