FAMILY REUNION
Family reunion visas are visas intended to reunite family members specifically husbands/wives, children and parents economically dependent on the sponsors. It is a long term (type D) period visa. The Family reunion visas must be authorized through the specified authorisation ("NULLA OSTA") issued by the competent Italian Authorisation in which are listed the family members who may apply for the visa.

Please note: the family members have to provide documentary evidence about the family ties which will be formally and substantially verified by the Embassy of Italy in Nairobi.

Please note that effective from 19, January 2012 all Somali applicants applying for Family Reunion will be required to pay an additional amount of Kshs 1030.00 at any of the Barclays branches indicated on the website for Legalization of the Marriage Certificate.

Process


Step 1
Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. We have no say on whether you will be granted a visa or how much time it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Consulate of Italy to decide on.

Submit your documents at our Visa Application Centre on the date and time given for your appointment.
