For Prospective Applicants
Applicants wishing to apply for a visa, are requested to kindly read the information on this website carefully. The guidelines listed on this website are to help you prepare your documents as accurately as possible. This will reduce the risk of your application being incomplete or take a longer time to being processed. This website provides information on procedures applicable to all Mongolians and foreign nationals residing in Mongolia who wishes to apply for a short and long term visa to travel to Italy.
Please note
that an entry clearance officer might require a personal interview which will be facilitated through video conferencing at the visa application center, prior to a decision being taken on your application. The Consulate may also request additional documents during the examination of an application. The applicant is hereby informed that submitting all the required documents does not guarantee automatic issuance of a visa.
When to apply?
A visa application must be filed between 3 months and 1month prior to the date of departure. Please also note that the laws prescribe that the Consular Authority makes its decision on the application in a period of time that must not exceed 1 month (that can be further extended in case of necessity). Therefore applicants are strongly encouraged to file their application at least 1 month prior to the date of departure and never, in any case, more than 90 days before departure. This will allow an orderly examination of the applications and limit the chances that decisions on visa applications are taken after the applicant's scheduled date of departure.
