The Government of India has withdrawn with immediate effect (midnight of November 8, 2016) the legal tender character of the existing and any older series banknotes in the denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 1000.

VFS will accept Visa fees and VFS logistic charges in all denominations of all notes other than the existing & old high denomination notes of Rs. 500 and Rs.1000 . VFS shall also accept demand drafts favoring VFS Global Services Private limited.

For Prospective Applicants

Applicants who wish to apply for a Visa are requested to kindly read the information on this site carefully. The guidelines listed on this site are to help you prepare your documents as accurately as possible. This will reduce the risk of your application being incomplete or take a longer time to being processed.

Please note that in some cases personal appearance may be required at the Consulate General of Malaysia, Mumbai(for Ahmedabad and  Pune), Consulate General of Malaysia, Chennai (for Hyderabad and Bangalore), High Commission of Malaysia, Delhi (for Kolkata and Chandigarh) prior to a decision being taken on your application. The VFS Visa Application Centre shall assist you to take an appointment for the same.

VISA APPLICATION PROCESSING TIME

Processing time for Hyderabad is 05 working days* (excluding the day of submission at VFS)

Processing time for Kolkata is 05 working days* (excluding the day of submission at VFS)

Processing time for Chandigarh is 05 working days*  (excluding the day of submission at VFS)

Processing time for Bangalore is 05 working days* (excluding the day of submission at VFS)

Processing time for Ahmedabad is 06 working days* (excluding the day of submission at VFS)

Processing time for Pune is 06 working days* (excluding the day of submission at VFS)

Please Note:
( * ) Please note that this is an indicative processing time only. Processing time may increase or decrease at the discretion of the High Commission of Malaysia in New Delhi and the Consulate General of Malaysia in Mumbai & Chennai.

Processed passports can be collected from The Malaysian Visa Application Centers in Kolkata, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad at the below mentioned timings:

Hyderabad – 08:00 to 12:00 – 13:00 -15:00.
Kolkata – 15:00 to 16:00
Chandigarh – 10:00 to 12:00 – 13:00 -16:00
Bangalore – 08:00 to 12:00 – 13:00 -15:00
Ahmedabad – 15:00 to 16:00

VISA APPLYING PROCESS

Step 1 : Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how long it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Consulate. You may refer to the link ‘All about Visas’ to understand details of various visas.
Step 2 : Complete your visa application form and affix your photograph. You may download the form from this websites.
Step 3 : Ensure photos are as per specifications.
Step 4 : Attach all supporting documents required as per checklist. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications are not accepted.
Step 5 : Submit your application at the VFS centres in, Kolkata, Chandigarh, Bangalore, Hyderabad, Pune and Ahmedabad along with the applicable fees in cash and Demand Draft as applicable.
Step 6 : Track your application online
Step 7 : Collect your passport from the VFS centre or wait for courier delivery.


PASSPORT COLLECTION PROCEDURE

  If you are retrieving your passport in person , you must bring with you :
1. The original acknowledgement slips provided to you by VFS Global when you deposited your application at the Malaysia Visa Application Center.
2. Your original National ID card or other official proof of identification containing a photograph.
3. A copy of your photographic ID
  If you plan to use a representative to collect your passport on your behalf:
1. The original acknowledgement slips provided to you by VFS Global when you deposited your application at the Malaysia Visa Application Center.
2. You are requested to provide individual authorization letters, signed by the respective applicants.
3. Representative original National ID card or other official proof of identification proof of identification containing a photograph.
4. A copy of your representative photographic ID.
