    Durga Puja Notice

    Our courier partner may not be operational from 16 October 2018 to 19 October 2018 on account of Durga Puja and applications submitted on the said dates will undergo a delay in submission at the Embassy because of the closure. The applications will be submitted tentatively on 24 October 2018 at the Embassy.

      Mandatory online pre-payment service fees introduced in India

      From the 02 July 2018 onwards, applicants for a Netherlands visa must book an appointment and pay the VFS service fee online before going to a VFS visa application centre to submit their application and biometric data (fingerprints and photograph). From this date, appointments to submit applications will only be confirmed once payment is complete.

      The reason for the introduction of the pre-payment system is to reduce the large percentage of applicants who do not show up for their appointments. By decreasing the no-show percentage, unnecessary waiting times for an appointment will be reduced and the application process in the visa application centres will become more streamlined.

      Pre-payment of the service fees can be made using a secured online payment portal using VISA or Mastercard credit or debit card.

      Please note, that certain applicants are allowed to submit their application without prior appointment and therefore, also do not have to pre-pay the VFS service fee. These applicants are:

      • Seafarers
      • Applicants employed at an organisation registered as Orange Carpet member at the Netherlands embassy in New Delhi (to be checked at the reception of the visa application centre)
      • Applicants with diplomatic and official delegates travelling as part of an official delegation.
      • These applicants will continue to pay the service fee at the visa application centre upon submission of their application.

      Important Information for Diplomatic and Official passport holders

      Now you can submit your application and give bio-metrics at the nearest VFS Visa Application Centre without any appointment.

      Visa Fee is waived off, however VFS Logistics as well as Value Added Service, (if availed will be applicable).

    The Government of India has withdrawn with immediate effect (midnight of 08 November 2016) the legal tender character of the existing and any older series banknotes in the denominations of Rs 500 and Rs 1000.

    VFS will accept Visa fees and VFS logistic charges in all denominations of all notes other than the existing & old high denomination notes of Rs. 500 and Rs.1000 . VFS shall also accept demand drafts favoring VFS Global Services Private limited.

    18 November 2015: Non MRZ Passports will not be accepted after 23 November 2015:

    Applicants are requested to note that in lieu of the Indian Govt. decision to phase out non MRZ passports, no handwritten Indian passports will be accepted after Monday the 23 November 2015

    Please note that with immediate effect VFS Global will not accept any handwritten passports and applicant is advised to obtain a new passport.

    04 November 2015: All applicants are required book an appointment online to submit their visa application and Biometric information at the Schengen visa application centre.

    As part of the visa application procedure, from 2 November 2015 applicants will need to provide Biometric fingerprint data along with a digital photograph. If you have temporary injuries on your fingers, applicants are advised to wait until the injuries have healed before you book your appointment. Henna on fingertips may also mean we are unable to get a clear scanned image and should be removed or allowed to fade before your appointment date.

    Before you make an appointment you should carefully read the visa application process available on the website to submit your visa application and supporting documents at the visa application centre.

    If you have missed your appointment on the scheduled day, the system will not allow you to reschedule or cancel and you will require to book a new appointment after 24 hours.

    Please make sure you arrive at the visa application centre 15 minutes prior to your appointment time. Applicants are not allowed to be accompanied inside the visa application centre. The only exceptions to this are those accompanying children under 18 years-of-age or applicants who need special assistance for health reasons or disability.

    If you are part of a family or group, each member of the family or group must make an individual appointment. For example, if you are a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 children you must make 4 individual appointments.

    VFS Global appointment system is compatible with most popular browsers. VFS Global will soon introduce appointment scheduling through call Centre for the ease of applicants.
