13 October 2010   VISA Warning

There are a number of visa agents in operation both in and outside of Bangkok, including agencies in the immediate vicinity of the VFS Norwegian Visa Application Center at Alma Link Building.

Please be informed that any decision to utilize the service of a visa agent is entirely at the applicants’ discretion. However, it is important to note that these agents are in no way whatsoever connected to the Embassy and that they have no influence over the outcome of an application. It is also important to note that some of the visa agents charge an unreasonably high fee for services which are not deemed necessary to submit an application. The Embassy has also experienced that certain visa agents help applicants fabricate information and documentation in order to increase the chance of being granted a visa. We strongly advise applicants not to use visa agents who offer to fabricate information in connection with a visa application as it will lead to a rejection by the Embassy if the information submitted is false. If any visa agents say that they can influence your application we urge you to inform the Norwegian Embassy as soon as possible.

If applicants or sponsors have any questions about the visa and/or residence permit application process, please go to the Embassy’s website for more information:

Applicants may also call the Embassy during our telephone hours Monday - Friday from 14:00 to 15:00 hrs for more information.
