In case you intend to stay in the Slovakia for more than 90 days you cannot apply at these VACs and you must apply for temporary residence or Slovak National D Visa (for submitting temporary residence application in Slovak Republic) personally at the Embassy of the Slovakia in New Delhi. Where to apply

The jurisdiction of The Embassy of The Slovakia in New Delhi covers all India for short term. Since 15 August 2015 the Slovak Republic is also represented by Hungary in visa matters in parts of India (states: Maharashtra, Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Gurajat, Goa, Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh & union territories: Puducherry, Daman and Diu, Dadra and Nagar Haveli). Residents can apply for short stay visits (up to 90 days) in Schengen area at the Consulate General of Hungary in Mumbai.

Please Note: - Applicants from Bangladesh, Bhutan, Maldives, Nepal and Sri Lanka can apply directly at the Embassy of The Slovakia only or at the respectful Embassies as follows:

Announcement for the residents of BANGLADESH

Since 01 May 2015 Italy represents the Slovak Republic in visa matters in Bangladesh. The residents originating from this consular district can apply for short stays (up to 90 days) in Schengen area at the Embassy of Italy in Dhaka.

Announcement for the residents of SRI LANKA

Since 01 May 2015 the visa matters in Sri Lanka are represented by Italy. The Sri Lankan nationals and residents may apply for short stays (up to 90 days) in the Schengen area at the Embassy of Italy in Colombo.

Announcement for the residents of NEPAL

Since 01 February 2014 Switzerland represents the Slovak Republic in visa matters in Nepal. The residents originating from Nepal can apply for short stays (up to 90 days) in the Schengen area (types A and C) at the Embassy of Switzerland in Kathmandu.

The Slovakia Visa Application Centre would accept applications for Schengen Short Term Visa (Business, Tourist, Visiting Family/ Friend and Cultural Event) to submit the application in The Embassy of The Slovakia in New Delhi. Applicants are requested to kindly read the information on this site carefully. The guidelines listed on this site are to help you prepare your documents as accurately as possible. This will reduce the chances of your application being delayed or declined due to inadequate or incorrect submission of documents.

Foreign National residing in India must submit valid permit to return to India.

The following essentials must be met by all applicants submitting their applications for visa:

  • Passport with at least three months validity from the date of arrival back in India

    The Embassy of The Slovakia does not accept additional pages inserted into passports. If you do not have a blank page to which a visa can be affixed, a new passport must be obtained before submitting your application. A single sided page is required to affix a visa but there should not be a valid visa on the back side of that page.

  • Relevant Forms Photograph

    Fully filled application form, which is appropriate to the type of visa with two original passport-size photographs. The applicant has to complete all the points of the application forms clearly and in capital letters. Incomplete forms will not be accepted. Digital photographs are not acceptable (Photo Specification)

Children under 18 traveling without one or both parents or without a legal guardian must provide an affidavit for travel signed by both parents or by the parent or legal guardian not traveling and also a copy of passport's 1st and last page of parent.
