25 April 2013: SPAIN VISA APPLICATION CENTER WILL CLOSED FROM 3 MAY UNTILL 6 MAY FOR EASTER HOLIDAYS.
1 April 2013: For all applicants who are holding diplomatic, service or private passports, are pleased to submit at the embassy of spain directly.
27 March 2013: Spain Visa Application center will be closed on the 28 March and the 31 March for Santo and easter holidays.
Only citizins/ residents in any of the following provinces: Fayum, Ismailia, Giza, Minya, Cairo, New Valley, Suez, Aswan, Asyut, Beni Suef, Port Saïd, South Sinai, Qina, North Sinai, Sohag and Kalyubeya have the right to apply for visa in Cairo.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS
According to Schengen regulation all the requested documents have to be translated into Spanish or English.
National identification card must be shown and issued from any of the province mentioned above in order to submit in Cairo.
Applicant must appear in our office in person for the biometric phase.

UNACCOMPANIED MINORS
Please note that all minors must be accompanied by a parent/legal guardian at the time of application submission.
If the minor travels alone, he/she will provide consent of both parents or legal guardian and this authorization shall be provided either through a notarized certificate or by a form provided and signed personally at the VFS Global premises. Minors should appear in person with their parents.
If the minor is travelling with only one of his/her parents, he/she will need consent from the one not travelling.
15 July 2012: Effective 10 July 2012, applicants can no longer cancel/ reschedule their appointments once it is booked. For any clarifications/ assistance please write to Info.eseg@vfshelpline.com. with the name, contact number, email id, passport details and the travelling date and we would respond to you within 2 working days. Visa Application Centre Role
All applications collected by the Visa Application Center will be sent to the Visa Section at the Embassy of Spain in Cairo for assessment and resolution. Visa Application Centre staff has no say in the visa decision taken by the Embassy and has no influence on the application processing time whatsoever.

Kindly be informed that incomplete application increases the risk of refusal of your visa application by the Embassy of Spain in Cairo.
The processing time of your visa application at the Embassy of Spain is about 15 working days. Please keep in mind that your passport will be kept at the Embassy of Spain in Cairo during this time.
The Embassy of Spain in Cairo has the right to request additional information or documents in order to process the visa application and might call the visa applicant for an interview.
The payment of the visa fees does not give the right to automatically obtain the visa. The visa fees are not refundable in case of refusal or cancellation of the visa application.
Approval or refusal of the visa depends on embassy discretion.
