The Embassy of Spain in Malabo and the Consulate General in Bata are pleased to announce the opening of Visa Application Centres in Malabo and Bata.

Legal residents (nationals and foreigners) in the provinces of the Bioko Island must submit the application at the Malabo VAC. These applications will be assessed by the Embassy of Spain in Malabo.

Legal residents (nationals and foreigners) in the provinces of the Continental Region must submit their application at the Bata VAC. These applications will be assessed by the Consulate General of Spain in Bata.
Mauritius Nationals need No Schengen visa for a Short stays (up 90 days)

Short-stay (tourist, business, transit, studies up to 90) visa applications are to be directed to the aforementioned VACs in Malabo and Bata. It is mandatory to schedule an appointment when submitting a visa application in both Malabo and Bata.

Long-stay visa applications (work permit, students over 90 days, etc…) must be submitted directly to either the Embassy in Malabo or the Consulate General in Bata. Holders of Diplomatic, Official and Service passports on an official trip must contact directly either the Embassy in Malabo or the Consulate General in Bata.

For Prospective Applicants

Applicants who wish to apply for a Visa are requested to kindly read the information on this site carefully. The guidelines listed on this site are to help you prepare your documents as accurately as possible. This will reduce the risk of your application being incomplete or take a longer time to being processed.

Please note that personal appearance may be required, a Visa / Immigrations officer may require a personal interview at The Embassy of Spain in Malabo or the Consulate General in Bata prior to a decision being taken on your application. The Visa Application Centres shall assist you to take an appointment for the same.
 
VISA APPLYING PROCESS
The visa fee can be paid to our cashier at the Visa Application Centres in Malabo and Bata. Please remember to bring/submit your original deposit slip and please put your passport number as a reference.

Step 1 : Applications for Spanish Schengen visas (Short-stay) tourist, business, transit, studies up to 90 are accepted at the Visa Application Centres.
Step 2 : Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how long it will take to process your application, as this is entirely the prerogative of the Embassy or Consulate.

Step 4 : Please ensure you read the security regulation notices before you visit the Visa Application Centre.
Step 5 : Track you application online and collect during the collection times. Passports will only be handed back to applicants during the collection times (14:30-16:00).
 
TRACK YOUR APPLICATION
If you have already submitted an application for a visa at the Visa Application Centre you can track your application here. Please collect your passport between 14:30 – 16:00 and provide for the needed identification and authorization letters (if needed).
