VFS Global has been appointed as an outsourced partner by the Embassy of Spain in India and Consulate General of Spain in Mumbai, to facilitate short stay visa applications to Spain.

Short stay applications will be accepted at the VFS Global offices in accordance with the respective place of residence of the applicant. See link “Where to apply

The application can be submitted in person or by an authorized person at the Spain Visa Application Center. Please note that due to security reasons applications will not be accepted through Courier at the Spain Visa Application Center.

For large groups (more than 20 persons), the application centre must be contacted well in advance.

In case the applicant intends to visit various Schengen countries the country responsible to issue the relevant visa for the entire duration of the trip, including for other Schengen countries will be determined in the following order:

Main destination.
Country related with the main purpose of travel.
Country with maximum period of stay.
State of first entry.

Please note granting a visa is the prerogative of the Embassy or the Consulate for each application. Submission of all the documents does not imply “right” to be granted a visa.

Please Note with effect from 04 January 2016, The Visa fees has been revised as per the instruction received from Embassy of Spain.
The Revised visa fee and VFS Global charge are as follows:

In addition to the Visa Fees, applicant requires to pay the VFS Service Charge (inclusive of all taxes), as listed below.

VFS Service Charge In Nepal (NPR)

For applications submitted in Kathmandu, the VFS service charge will be acceptable only in NPR (Nepalese Rupees) through Demand draft in favour "VF Services Mauritius Pte Ltd" payable at Kathmandu, Nepal.

Please note with effect from 15 June 2015, Visa applicants are informed that travel medical insurance issued by only some Indian insurance companies are will be accepted for visa procedures. However, visa applicants may seek to obtain insurance in any other country where claims against the insurance company would be recoverable in a Schengen state List of approved Indian insurance companies.

Citizens of Nepal, Sri Lanka and the Maldives are reminded that even though they have the right to submit their short stay visa applications/transit visa applications at the Embassy of Spain in India, located in New Delhi, they can also submit them in the corresponding Embassy or Consulate of France in their respective country who represent Spain in this regard.

Residents of other nationalities (who have been residing for more than six months with valid residence permit) in Nepal, Sri Lanka and Maldives can likewise submit their applications in the corresponding Embassy or Consulate of France located in the above mentioned countries even though they have the right to do the same at the Embassy of Spain in India, located in New Delhi.

Passport collection – Id card proof of the authorised person is a must
Original bank statements of the applicant for last ( 6 ) months, with the original stamp and signature of authorized signatory of the bank (Online Bank statements are acceptable with original stamp and signature of authorized signatory of the bank stamp).
Leave sanction letter on company letter head
Notary on Rs 100 stamp paper. Refer to documentation required under visa categories for details for whom Notary is needed
Copy of all pages of the new Passport to be submitted.
Only Application form to be submitted along with other required documents as per visa category. No need to carry extra copy of the Application form.
Only 1 Photo as per Specifications to be attached.
