In compliance of Regulation (EC) No 810/2009 of the European Parliament and of
the Council of 13 July 2009 establishing a Community Code on Visas (Visa Code)
all Schengen Member States are required to mandatorily capture Biometric data
as part of the Visa Application Process. |

Therefore the Embassy of Spain in Rabat and its Consulate in Casablanca are
pleased to announce the introduction of a secure Biometric System operated by
VFS at its Spain Visa Application Centers in both Rabat and Casablanca. |

Effective, 11th October, 2011, all categories of Visa Applicants will
mandatorily be required to appear in person at the Spain Visa Application
Centers and provide 10 flat finger prints and a facial image as part of the
visa application process. The implementation of this system will bring
significant security enhancement and improvement in identity management and
issuance of visas. |
