Totally exempt from the fee for a Schengen visa are:

	children under the age of six
	schoolchildren, students in higher education, postgraduate students and their accompanying teachers - on condition that the purpose of the trip is study or education
	researchers - on condition that the purpose of the trip is scientific research
	government official visits with a note verbal travelling on official or diplomatic passport
	representatives of non-profit organisations aged 25 years or less participating in seminars, conferences, sports, cultural and educational events organised by a non profit organization
	relatives of citizens of the EU, Norway, Iceland, Liechtenstein and Switzerland if they are travelling with the relative or will meet in connection with the journey. A certificate must be presented which confirms the marriage or familial relationship. The following persons are classified as relatives: husband or wife registered partner common-law spouse (does not apply to persons co-habiting with Swiss citizens) a child under the age of 21 or an older child who is financially dependent on its parents parents who are financially dependent on children in Sweden. Relatives of Swedish citizens must, however, pay a fee to apply for a Schengen visa.
