Required documents for all visa Categories

Please note that the following essentials must be met by all applicants submitting their applications for visa.

Passport or other valid travel document should be valid at least three months beyond the planned departure from Sweden. Please note that The Embassy of Sweden in Bangkok does not accept additional pages inserted into passports. Ensure Passport has atleast two blank pages to which a visa can be affixed, if not a new passport must be obtained before submitting your application.

Relevant Forms & Photograph Fully completed application form appropriate to the type of visa and supplementary form requested with two original passport-size photographs [NB: digital photographs not acceptable]

An authorised translation must be attached to any documents in Thai

Other Information:

Visa for Applicants under the age of 18

	In addition to the compulsory documentation required, the following documentation is required for applicants under the age of 18.
	The application form needs to be signed by a legal custodian
	Birth certificate for the applicant
	Consent from both parents to travel abroad. If the applicant is under custody of only one parent a certificate showing this is required. The documentation needs to be in original and issued by the legal Thai authorities. The documentation also needs to be supported by the custodian's id-cards

Required Travel Insurance

A medical insurance is compulsory for visitors to Sweden and other Schengen states. You may provide either a policy from an insurance company based in Europe or in Thailand. Please note that only certain insurance companies in Thailand are accepted. The insurance must cover at least 30 000 Euro or 1 500 000 Baht and include costs for medical treatment, hospitalization and repatriation due to injury or medical reasons. The insurance must be valid in all Schengen states and cover the total length of the visit.

The reimbursement from the insurance company must be payable in any EU-country, Switzerland and Lichtenstein. The insurance certificate must be shown when the application is submitted. Please note that you have to bring your travel insurance with you when travelling due to inspections of relevant documents at the border control when entering the Schengen area.
