Important Information

  • Visa applications for Belgium and Luxemburg will be accepted by VFS until Wednesday September 8th...CLICK HERE for more information.

  • Please note that the VFS service fee for Belgium visa application is set to change from 01 January 2021. The fee will be increased by Euro 5.5 per application (charged in local currency).

  • Due to COVID, Belgium Visa Application Centre will only be open on Mondays and Wednesdays until further notice

  • In line with the European Recommendations and the decision of the Belgian authorities to limit non-essential travel to Belgium, VFS will only be able to receive visa applications for essential travel. You can find the list of all essential types of travel here.

    All other categories of travelers can not submit visa applications until further notice.

  • For health reasons, visa applications can only be submitted by appointment with VFS Global Starting from 29 July 2020.
  • Increased fees for visa applications from 02 February 2020. Please CLICK HERE for more information.
  • Starting from 01 January 2019, family members of a Somali national who has been granted the status of refugee or subsidiary protection in Belgium, will no longer be allowed to introduce their visa request in Addis Ababa. They will have to introduce it in Nairobi, Kenya. This should be done through the outsourced service provider.
  • Djiboutian applicants travelling to Belgium for a short stay have to file their application at the French Embassy in Djibouti
    (https://dj.ambafrance.org/Demander-un-visa-pour-la-France). The VFS Application Center and the Belgian Embassy in Addis Ababa are only accepting Djiboutian applications for long-term stay in Belgium or Luxemburg or applications for medical reasons.
