  1. TRANSIT

    An airport transit visa is required from certain travelers to go through the international transit area of airports, without actually entering the national territory of the country concerned, during a stop-over or transfer between two stages of an international flight. The requirement to have such a visa is an exception to the general right to transit without a visa through the international transit area.

    If your travel to Croatia is for one of the following purpose, you are eligible to apply for this visa.

    • Tourists
    • Private visitors (excluding family visits)
  3. OFFICIAL VISIT

    If your travel to Croatia is for one of the following purpose, you are eligible to apply for this visa.

    • Language course (up to three months)
    • Participants in official twin city programs:
    • Student exchange (up to three months)
    • Youth exchange programs
    • Workers posted to Croatia for specific short-term activities
  4. BUSINESS

    If your travel to Croatia is for one of the following purpose, you are eligible to apply for this visa.

    • Members of official delegations
    • Employees travelling on business
    • Self-employed people travelling on business
    • Drivers (international cargo)
    • Members of train, refrigerator and locomotive crews for up to 90 days/year
    • Journalists
    • Freelance journalists
    • Scientists with scholarship from public funds or visiting scientists invited by a university or other public research facility
    • Holiday jobs and work placements
  5. VISITOR

    If your travel to Croatia is for one of the following purpose, you are eligible to apply for this visa.

    • Close relatives visiting Russian citizens residing legally in Croatia
    • Close relatives visiting EU (EEA & Swiss) citizens
  6. OTHERS

    If your travel to Croatia is for one of the following purpose, you are eligible to apply for this visa.

    • Participants in scientific, cultural and artistic activities:
    • Language course (up to three months)
    • Participants in official twin city programs:
    • Pupils, students, post-graduate students and accompanying teachers:
    • Start of academic studies as scholarship student (up to three months)
    • Student exchange (up to three months)
    • Participants in international sports events and accompanying persons in their professional capacity
    • Real estate owners in Croatia and their relatives:
    • Medical reasons
    • Visitors of military and civil burial grounds
