Visa Fees At A Glance

The rates are as below. They may be varied at any time. Charges are non-refundable and may only be paid in cash Rubles only. Credit cards and other forms of payment are not accepted. Whenever possible the cashier should be presented with the exact money.

Please Note:

  • Visa Fees are payable in Russian rubles as per the prevailing exchange rates.
  • Service charges are inclusive of VAT levied per application over and above the visa fees.
  • Child under 6 years of age and disabled person of all categories are not required to pay service fee (in case they provide a document from a medicine governmental body (spravka VTEK MSE) and Act from the Federal Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise (Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation) about the medical and social expertise).
  • Accompanied members of disabled person can be exempt from paying the service charge on a case to case basis.

Optional value added services:

To add value to our customer, we offer some value added service. You will need to pay an extra fee in addition to the visa application fee when you attend the visa service centre only. To know about these services please refer the additional service page of this website.

Visa Fees waived categories:

  • Members of the immediate family of a Croatian, EU and EEA citizens (spouse and children),
  • Children up to the age of 12,
  • Holders of diplomatic and service passports travelling in official capacity,
  • Pupils, students, postgraduate students and teachers accompanying them when traveling to school, university and - professional training,
  • Researchers travelling to do research as noted in Recommendation 2005/761/EC of the European Parliament and Council of 28 September 2005,
  • Representatives of non-profit organizations up to the age of 25 travelling to attend seminars, conferences, sport, culture or educational events organized by non-profit organizations.

For Russian citizens:

  • For close relatives - spouses, children (including adopted) parents (including custodians), grandparents and grandchildren-of citizens of the European Union and of the Russian Federation legally residing in the territory of the Russian Federation or the Member States;
  • For members of official delegations who, following an official invitation addressed to the Member States, the European Union or the Russian Federation, shall participate in meetings, consultations, negotiations or exchange programs, as well as in events held in the territory of the Russian Federation or one of the Member States by intergovernmental organizations;
  • Members of national and regional Governments and Parliaments, Constitutional Courts and Supreme Courts, if they are not exempted from the visa requirement by the present Agreement;
  • Disabled persons and the person accompanying them, if necessary;
  • Persons who have presented documents proving the necessity of their travel on humanitarian grounds, including to receive urgent medical treatment and the person accompanying such person, or to attend a funeral of a close relative, or to visit a close relative seriously ill;
  • participants in youth international sports events and persons accompanying them;
  • Persons participating in scientific, cultural and artistic activities including university and other exchange programs;
  • Participants in official exchange programs organized by twin cities

Visa fee is charged for processing a visa application at the moment of its submission. It should be paid in rubles in the amount equal to that in EUR.

VFS Global service charge:

Apart from the visa fee, VFS Global service charge of the equivalent of 26 Euros inclusive of VAT per application will be levied to the applicants applying at the visa application centre.

The service charge is waived for the following applicants:

  • Children under 6 years of age
  • Persons with disabilities and persons who accompany them (depending on case to case) in case they provide a document from a medicine governmental body (spravka VTEK MSE) and Act from the Federal Bureau of Medical and Social Expertise (Ministry of Labor and Social Protection of the Russian Federation) about the medical and social expertise
