Step 1:

Before applying, please ensure you are very clear on your ‘purpose of visit’ – do remember we are here to assist and help you through the entire visa application process but are not permitted to advise or guide you on choosing a visa category. Since our work is primarily administrative in nature, we have no say on whether you will be granted a visa and how long it will take to process, as this is entirely the prerogative of Embassy of Czech Republic in Vietnam. You may refer to the link ‘Visa Type’ to understand details of various visas.

Please be noted that only four types of Schengen visa category as listed below are collected by VFS Global. Other types of visa category must be submitted directly at the Embassy of Czech Republic in Vietnam.

  • Tourism
  • Business
  • Visiting family and Friends
  • Others (Sport, Cultural, Scientific events and Study short stay)

Official passport and Family members of EU/EEA and Swiss citizens must submitted directly at the Embassy of Czech Republic in Hanoi.

In Ho Chi Minh city and southern provinces (Danang, Quang Nam, Quang Ngai, Binh Dinh, Phu Yen, Khanh Hoa, Ninh Thuan, Binh Thuan, Dong Nai, Binh Duong, Ho Chi Minh city, Long An, Ba Ria – Vung Tau, Tien Giang, Ben Tra, Vinh Long, Can Tho, Tra Vinh, Hau Giang, Bac Lieu, Ca Mau). Applicant can submit their application for Schengen visa at the Consulate General of Hungary. For more information, please click here.

For residence permit application, applicant must submit directly at the Embassy of Czech Republic in Hanoi.

Step 2:

Complete your visa application form and affix your photograph. You may also download the form from this website. The applicant files the application in person. Parents/legal guardians file the application for a child younger than 15 years. The application can be filed maximum three months before the trip.

Step 3:

Attach all required supporting documents proving:

  • purpose of journey (invitation)
  • accommodation (hotel reservation)
  • financial means (statement from the bank)
  • intention to leave the Czech Republic / Schengen Area before the visa expiry (round air ticket reservation)
  • travel health insurance
  • Personal evidence:

    • Extract of family register
    • For minors: parental consent + school certificate

Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications are not accepted.

Step 4:

Before visiting to the Czech Visa Application Centre of VFS Global in Hanoi, please book appointment byclicking here for more information.

Step 5:

Submit your application at the Czech Visa Application Centre of VFS Global in Hanoi per appointment scheduled.The applicant shall be given a receipt for the visa fee paid.

Important: A minor applicant under 18 years old must be accompanied by one of her/his parent at the moment of submission. In case when the child is travelling alone or with one parent only the consent (with signature legalized) of both parents, or the parent remaining in Vietnam has to be added to the application.

Step 5:

Track your application online.

Step 6:

Collect your passport from the Visa Application Centre.
