Visa Fee Effective from 01 January 2019
Fees are subject to change and may be varied by the authority at any time. If your application meets the initial completeness checks upon submission it will then be accepted for payment at the Visa Application Centre. You can pay the visa and service fee by credit or debit card. Cheques are not accepted.

Please note that this fee is the Danish Consulate Fee only. In certain cases, separate fees will also need to be paid online prior to submission to The Danish Immigration Service/The Danish Agency of Labour Market and Recruitment.

NEW ONLINE VISA APPLICATION: From the 01 July 2019, you should fill in your visa application and pay the application fee online using https://applyvisa.um.dk/. After you have applied and paid the visa fee online, you must print and sign the cover letter from ApplyVisa and hand in supporting documents and supply biometrics at the Visa Application Centre
From 01 July 2019, The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Denmark including all Danish diplomatic missions are introducing online payment of the embassy fee for residence or work permit. The embassy fee should be paid online using this link https://dys.um.dk/permit/. The receipt for the payment should be submitted at the Danish Visa Application Centre (VFS) when you hand in your passport, relevant documentation and supply biometrics. Please note that in R/W permit cases there are three fees to be paid. 1) The fee to either The Danish Immigration Service or The Danish Agency for International Recruitment and Integration (SIRI), 2) the fee to the Danish embassy (using the link https://dys.um.dk/permit/) and 3) the fee to the Danish Visa Application Centre (VFS).
Incomplete Applications and Refund Policy:
- VFS will attempt to contact an applicant via telephone or email for any information lacking as required to constitute a complete application as set out in Annexure A [the checklist]. The applicant will be required to provide the necessary information within 2 working days, failing which the application may be considered incomplete and returned.
- All other fees other than VFS Service Fees will be refunded for an application considered to be incomplete [ required information to prepare a complete application is not received within 2 working days from the date of contacting the applicant via email or telephone]
Once an application is submitted to the Danish Consulate, a no refund policy applies.
