Visa – Important information for applicants who wish to travel in December
Applicants who wish to travel to Denmark, Sweden, Finland or Iceland before/during Christmas, are kindly advised to apply at the VFS centre no later than 2 December 2019.
All applications received at the VFS centre after 2 December 2019 will be received for case processing at the Embassy. However, the visa section cannot guarantee completion of case handling before your expected travel date.

After you have applied and paid the visa fee online, you must print and sign the cover letter from ApplyVisa and hand in supporting documents and supply biometrics at the Visa Application Centre

The Embassy of Denmark in Accra, Ghana, is introducing a maximum to the number of visa applications that it will be able to receive on a daily basis. This is done to ensure that all received applications continue to get the deserved attention to detail and that applicants receive their decision within the timeframe laid out in the Schengen Community Code on visas.
Effective 1 December 2015, a maximum of 25 applicants will be received per day.
Applicants will be attended to on first come first serve basis. Applicants arriving at the VFS after the quota has been exhausted will be requested to come the following day.
Applicants who can show evidence that they are not resident in Ghana and have travelled from abroad may be attended to irrespective of the daily quota.

Denmark represents Iceland, Faroe Islands and Greenland in visa matters;
A normal Schengen visa is not valid for the Faroe Islands or Greenland. If you are traveling to these destinations, you will need to have a Schengen visa issued by a Danish mission with the wording in the comments section on the visa: "Valid for the Faroe Islands" or "Valid for Greenland".
