  • The service fee is inclusive VAT and is non-refundable.

The service fee and additional services at The Visa Application Centre are to be paid only in Lebanese Pound.

Documents Required

Documents required when applying for a visa under EU regulations


Schengen Application Form
One completed Schengen visa application form, duly filled, dated and signed in all fields on the third page.
Recent Identity Photo 1 coloured  photo taken less than 3 months ago
(see photo specifications)
Passport – Original
  • Passport must be issued within the last 10 years or less
  • Passport must contain at least two blank pages marked “visa” in order to put the visa and the entry and exit stamps
  • Passport must be valid 3 months after the date of return from the Schengen Area
Passport - Copy Copy of all pages of the passport including the cover and pages without stamps, visa stickers, entry/ exit stamps etc. must be copied in the normal color spectrum
Old passports – Original and Copy Copy of the first page of the passport with the renewal (if applicable) and all Schengen visas (including USA, Canada and UK) ever obtained, regardless of their date, with all the entry and exit stamps.
Residence and Working Permit For nationals of other countries residing in Lebanon:
  • Residence permit, original and copy
  • Working Permit, Original and Copy
Should be valid 3 months after the departure from the Schengen area
Proof of Entry to Lebanon For nationals of other countries who crossed the Lebanese borders but don’t have residence permits:

  • Copy of the entry coupon/visa affixed by the Lebanese authorities 
Purpose of the visit
Invitation Letter Duly signed and stamped VU2 invitation form/ invitation letter from the inviting person
Proof of Kinship with host in Denmark
Family Statement This document should be less than 3 months old and should be legalized from the ministries of justice, interior and foreign affairs for both Arabic and translation
Marriage certificate- for spouses This document should be less than 3 months old and should be legalized from the ministries of justice, interior and foreign affairs for both Arabic and translation
ID of the host Copy of the host’s passport
Proof of host’s residence in Denmark This document should be issued recently by the municipality where host’s reside
Minors
Parental Authorization Parental authorization from both parents:
*original Arabic + translation
*should contain the signature of both parents
*it should be legalized by a notary or signed in front of a VFS agent

  • The parental authorization is required even if both parents are traveling with the minor
  • In case one of the parents is abroad, the parental authorization should be legalized by the Lebanese embassy abroad (this document should be the original + translation)
Other Copy of the parents’ valid visas (if applicable)

Remark:

The Embassy has the right to request the applicant to provide further documentation if the applicant fails to demonstrate that he/she is covered by the EU regulation.

Photo Specifications

Size of photograph for visa applications

After the instalment of a new system for scanning biometrics, including photographs for visa application, it is now possible to lodge a photograph of size 35 x 45 mm. Length of the head should not exceed 30 to 36 mm in length from chin to top of hair.

The photograph must still be in color with bright background.

Danish Visa Application Centre has been instructed by Danish mission to inform applicants that the visa application is not acceptable if the photograph does not comply with the above format.

Applicants may therefore obtain a new photograph that meets all requirements before The Danish Visa Application Centre can receive the application.

Processing time

The average period for processing a Visa application is 15 working days calculated from the date when the application is received at the Embassy. Please note that missing documents may delay the answer of the Embassy further more. In some cases, the process of the Visa application could take from 30 to 60 days.

For Syrian applicants, the processing time for Syrian applications is longer than usual as all Syrian applications are submitted to the Danish Immigration Service and consequently it is recommended to apply at least two months before expected departure.

After completing the visa application form and paying visa fee online, you must book an appointment to submit your documents at VFS by clicking here. Make sure to bring along all the required documents and hand in supporting documents at the Visa Application Centre.

Make sure you are on time for your appointment; for those showing up late there is no guarantee that the application can be submitted and applicants may need to reschedule their appointment. Kindly, notify the Denmark visa application centre if you are unable to make your appointment.
