Please Note:

  • The applicable VFS service fee is as per the current exchange rate. It is subject to change.
  • The service fee is inclusive VAT and is non-refundable.
  • Visa Application Centre offers an optional service at a nominal additional cost. Please see more detail from Additional Services tab.

The service fee and additional services at The Visa Application Centre are to be paid only in Lebanese Pound.

Documents Required

Documents required for a Cultural/sport visit (less than 90 days)


Schengen Application Form
One completed Schengen visa application form, duly filled, dated and signed in all fields on the third page.
Recent Identity Photo 1 coloured  photo taken less than 3 months ago
(see photo specifications)
Passport – Original
  • Passport must be issued within the last 10 years or less
  • Passport must contain at least two blank pages marked “visa” in order to put the visa and the entry and exit stamps
  • Passport must be valid 3 months after the date of return from the Schengen Area
Passport - Copy Copy of all pages of the passport including the cover and pages without stamps, visa stickers, entry/ exit stamps etc. must be copied in the normal color spectrum
Old passports – Original and Copy Copy of the first page of the passport with the renewal (if applicable) and all Schengen visas (including USA, Canada and UK) ever obtained, regardless of their date, with all the entry and exit stamps.
Residence and Working Permit For nationals of other countries residing in Lebanon:
  • Residence permit, original and copy
  • Working Permit, Original and Copy
Should be valid 3 months after the departure from the Schengen area
Proof of Entry to Lebanon For nationals of other countries who crossed the Lebanese borders but don’t have residence permits:

  • Copy of the entry coupon/visa affixed by the Lebanese authorities
Purpose of the visit
Invitation Letter Duly signed and stamped VU3 invitation form/ invitation letter from the Danish inviting cultural/ sports organization, including:

*applicant’s name
*travel purpose
*travel dates
*who will be responsible for the travel costs
*accommodation
*host person’s full address and phone number
Proof of registration/ participation Confirmation of payment
Family Ties to the home country
Family Statement of the applicant
original + translation
This document should be less than 3 months old and should be legalized from the ministries of justice, interior and foreign affairs for both Arabic and translation
Trip Information
Travel Medical Insurance Original travel medical insurance with the conditions booklet
* Should cover the entire period of stay
* Coverage zone should be Denmark, Europe, Worldwide or Schengen area
* Should cover the medical expenses and repatriation costs for a minimum of 30.000 Euros

N.B:
  • In case your country of main destination was Greenland or the Faroe Islands, please make sure the insurance covers it as well.
  • Insurance cards are not sufficient; the insurance certificate is needed with the above listed conditions.

Employment
Working Certificate Recently issued letter of employment indicating the following points:
*name and function of the applicant
*hire date
*salary
*leave authorization and travel purpose
*who will be responsible for the travel costs
The letter must be:
*original
*stamped by the company
*signed by the company responsible 
If Self-Employed Updated copy of the company’s commercial circular or commercial register + translation
If Liberal Profession *Recent syndicate membership certificate
*Syndicate membership card
If Freelancer *Employment statement recently issued by a notary or by the mayor of the area where you live
Students and Minors
School Certificate Proof of enrolment in school/ university for the current year, original + Translation if needed
Parental Authorization Parental authorization from both parents:
*original Arabic + translation
*should contain the signature of both parents
*it should be legalized by a notary or signed in front of a VFS agent

The parental authorization is required even if both parents are traveling with the minor
  • In case one of the parents is abroad, the parental authorization should be legalized by the Lebanese embassy abroad (this document should be the original + translation)
Other Copy of the parents’ valid visas (if applicable)
Financials
Bank Statement Personal Bank statement covering the last 3 months, with a credit balance sufficient to cover the costs of the stay, stamped with 2 signatures from the bank.
Bank Statement of a Sponsor Bank statement of a sponsor covering the last 3 months, with a credit balance sufficient to cover the costs of the stay, stamped with 2 signatures from the bank.
Taking in Charge Letter
  • Bank guarantee issued by sponsor’s bank
  • Taking in charge letter signed by the sponsor in front of VFS agent.
Proof of Professional Activity of Sponsor (if applicable) For unemployed applicants: proof of the professional background of their financial sponsor (employment letter, commercial circular…).


Photo Specifications

Size of photograph for visa applications

After the instalment of a new system for scanning biometrics, including photographs for visa application, it is now possible to lodge a photograph of size 35 x 45 mm. Length of the head should not exceed 30 to 36 mm in length from chin to top of hair.

The photograph must still be in color with bright background.

Danish Visa Application Centre has been instructed by Danish mission to inform applicants that the visa application is not acceptable if the photograph does not comply with the above format.

Applicants may therefore obtain a new photograph that meets all requirements before The Danish Visa Application Centre can receive the application.

Processing time

The average period for processing a Visa application is 15 working days calculated from the date when the application is received at the Embassy. Please note that missing documents may delay the answer of the Embassy further more. In some cases, the process of the Visa application could take from 30 to 60 days.

For Syrian applicants, the processing time for Syrian applications is longer than usual as all Syrian applications are submitted to the Danish Immigration Service and consequently it is recommended to apply at least two months before expected departure.

After completing the visa application form and paying visa fee online, you must book an appointment to submit your documents at VFS by clicking here. Make sure to bring along all the required documents and hand in supporting documents at the Visa Application Centre.

Make sure you are on time for your appointment; for those showing up late there is no guarantee that the application can be submitted and applicants may need to reschedule their appointment. Kindly, notify the Denmark visa application centre if you are unable to make your appointment.
