  • Denmark Visa Application Centre in New Zealand will re-open on Monday, 8 March 2021 for Short Stay, Residence and Work Permit applications.
  • Instruction/COVID-19: Extension of travel and entry restrictions until 5 April 2021.

    Today, the Danish government announced that the current COVID-related travel and entry restrictions, set to expire on 28 February, will be extended to 5 April.

    All relevant material on the extension of the restrictions will be publicized on the Danish Joint Authorities Website, coronasmitte.dk in Danish and English.

  • Denmark Visa Application Centre in New Zealand will re-open on Monday, 22 February 2021 for Short Stay, Residence and Work Permit applications.
  • Important Notification:

    Please note, it has been decided by The Danish Ministry of Immigration and Integration that residence permit applications for study (incl. Ph.D), internship, volunteers and au pair as well as their accompanying family members will be refused by SIRI as of 3 February 2021.

  • Important information when entering Denmark

    If you arrive from a country classified as a banned country, you must present proof of a negative COVID-19 test taken no more than 72 hours before entry. If you fail to present such a test, you must expect to be refused entry as from Monday, 26 October 2020.

  • Denmark Visa Application Centres in New Zealand are re-open for Short Stay, Residence and Work Permit applications.
  • SIRI has extended the deadline for recording applicants’ biometrics until 31 October 2020 for applications submitted after 31 July 2020. Applicants who have submitted their applications before 31 July and have not had their biometrics recorded yet must contact SIRI via their contact form. Read more here.

    DIS has also extended the deadline for recording applicants’ biometrics until 30 September 2020. The extension applies for applications submitted from 15 February 2020. Read more here.

  • Effective 12 August 2020, the Denmark Visa Application Centre in Auckland will be closed until further notice due to stage 3 lockdown restrictions being imposed.
  • Denmark Visa Application Centres in New Zealand are re-open for Short Stay, Residence and Work Permit applications.

    Effective 04 July 2020, customers can submit visa applications at the Denmark Visa Application Centres in New Zealand.

  • Due to the current entry restrictions to Denmark, the Danish visa application centers are only accepting Residence and Work Permit applications. For short stay visa applications with entry during the current entry restrictions to Denmark, please contact https://newzealand.um.dk/ the Danish Embassy prior to submitting application.
  • The Danish Government has implemented extensive restrictions on entry to Denmark due to the Corona virus/COVID-19. These restrictions mean that you must expect to be rejected at the Danish borders even with a valid visa.

    The only exceptions are foreign travellers who have a valid visa AND a worthy purpose for entering. Worthy purposes include travellers who are either parents or primary caretakers (e.g. foster parents) of minors residing in Denmark, visits to critically ill family members, persons who are in the process of a medical treatment in Denmark, persons who are attending a funeral in Denmark, and persons who will be part of a court case in Denmark.

    Ordinary tourist visits, family visits and business travel are not considered worthy travel purposes. Applications will be submitted to the Danish Immigration Service for consideration.
