Due to limited slots, we recommend you to kindly check the appointment availability at VFS before making any flight and hotel reservations or paying any moneys online. It is advised to book a visa application appointment as soon as applicants know they will be travelling, allowing enough time for the Mission to process the visa application (see Processing Time under the various visa categories) and taking in consideration the days that VFS offices and /or the Mission may be closed (see Public Holidays/Closures).
Every visa applicant, including children/infants, has to come and submit his/her visa application in the visa application centre by appointment only.
Visa applicants applying for the following categories can walk in with out and appointment booked online (i.e. no prior appointment is required) from Monday till Friday between 08:30 hrs and 12:00 hrs noon, except on Public Holidays/Closures.
The booking of a visa application appointment is as follows:
Once the Appointment booking process has been completed, applicant will receive an Appointment Booking Confirmation email with the Appointment letter (as PDF attachment), which can be printed as follows:
If misplace or not received by email due to wrong information entered, the appointment letter can also be downloaded from the Appointment Link.
Appointment letter will be brought to the visa application centre and presented to VFS Security staff upon arrival in the visa application centre on applicant’s appointment date; applicants are requested not to come earlier than 20 minutes before their booked appointment time in order to control crowd flow in the visa application centre.
Note: There is a mandatory partial payment £10.00 for the VFS Service Fee that has to be completed online at the time of the appointment booking.
Please note the following regarding the Cancellation/Rescheduling of an appointment:
If cancelling more than 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment – To be eligible for a refund of the online payment kindly cancel your appointment online and forward the cancellation email to firstname.lastname@example.org quoting your web reference number, state the reason for cancellation and the date the appointment was initially scheduled for.
If cancelling less than 48 hours prior to your scheduled appointment – You will not be eligible for a refund of the online payment.
If rescheduling your appointment prior to your scheduled date and time – The online payment is still valid and the appointment can be scheduled based on availability.
