      Important Changes in the Visa Application Process effective as of 01 July 2020, ( How to Print out the Confirmation of Visa Issuance' document)

      Dear Esteemed Customers,

      Kindly be informed that the Embassy of the Republic of Korea(ROK) no longer issue visa labels for visa applications processed, as of 01 July 2020.

      The Embassy will notify Customers of their Visa details by issuing 'Confirmation of Visa Issuance' on the official website at www.visa.go.kr where customers can print out the document at any time by entering personal details such as passport number, date of birth and other relevant information.

      Revision of Payment Method at Visa Application Center In Nigeria

      Dear Customers,

      Please note, from 24 February 2020 onwards, all the payments at the visa application center in Abuja Nigeria will be done through POS Machines. We request you to carry your debit cards to make payments with ease.

      Dear Customers,

      PROHIBITION ON CARRYING  ANIMAL PRODUCTS INTO SOUTH-KOREA

      Please be informed that effective 01 June 2019, Foreigners are prohibited from carrying animal products such as RAW MEAT, HAM, SAUSAGE and BEEF JERKY into Korea. Offenders will be heavily penalized of paying fines up to 10 million KRW.

      PROCESSING PERIOD

      Processing period usually takes around 10-15 business days (two-three weeks). However, the Embassy is currently dealing with an unusually high level of visa application, thus processing time could take up to ONE Month..

      Please be advised to submit your application sufficiently in advance.

      Dear Customers,

      Please be informed that effective 06 September 2019, all applicant who have been rejected visa MUST wait for at least ONE MONTH post rejection before submitting a fresh application.

      This is applicable to all categories of application.

      In all categories of visas, the amount is the same as the Nigerian visa fee

      Please be informed that application submission will close by 12:00 on Friday 08 March 2019 as banks will be closing early due to General Election on 09 March 2019, Saturday. However the passport collections will continue at the VAC as per our scheduled time.

      The Republic of Korea Visa Application Centre will be closed due to public holiday.

      Early closure of Korea Visa Application Centre on Friday 30 June 2017

      The Korea Visa Application Centre would close early on Friday 30 June 2017 due to the mid-year audit by GTbank Plc.

      The Visa application Centre would still be open for passport collection till 4pm

      The Korea Visa Application Centre would resume operations on Monday 3rd July 2017.

      Effective from 1 February 2016, Republic of Korea visa application center in Abuja will accept the Visa Applications on behalf of The Embassy of Republic of Korea, Abuja.

      The Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Abuja requires all visa applicant(s) applying for visa in Abuja to submit their ORIGINAL bank statement and confirmation letter from the bank stating the closing balance in the account. The bank statement must be issued by the Abuja branch of the bank.
