VFS Application Centres in United Kingdom re-opens for Visa application submission purposes. Effective 3 December 2020, permanent UK residents can submit Visa applications at the Application Centres in United Kingdom only by prior appointment. Please be aware that there is 10 day self-isolation requirement in force in Latvia for all visitors from UK. If you are exempted from this requirement, please contact the embassy in advance.

Customers need to seek approval from the consulate to submit their application at the visa center before scheduling the appointments. Please email the documents proving the purpose of travel.

If you also plan to visit other Schengen states, you have to contact their diplomatic or consular mission to find out what COVID-19 restricting measures are in force in respective state, or consult the EU’s website ‘Re-open EU’ .

All travellers are responsible for verifying the travel restrictions in place before departure.

Holders of a Schengen visa are not automatically entitled to enter the Schengen area but must respect the travel restrictions in place!

Your safety is our priority. As part of precautionary measures, customers visiting our Application Centres are required to wear face mask and gloves.

Customers exhibiting COVID-19 symptoms, including cough and difficulty breathing will be allowed to reschedule their application submission for another day and will be advised to seek medical attention.

Please also note that

1. Limited number of customers will be allowed inside the Application Centre at any one time. A pre booked appointment is required.
2. Only the main applicant will be allowed inside the Centre.

Please note: As of 02 February 2020 the Schengen visa fee per person (Short Stay Visa) will increase from 60 to 80 euros or the equivalent amount in your local currency. For children between 6-12 years old the visa fee will increase to 40 euros or equivalent
