LITHUANIA PASSPORT AND ID CARD
Get your passport or ID card at VFS Global if:
- you need to renew your passport/ID card;
- you aplly for a first-passport/ID card for a child Click Here;

Documents. It is important for your passport/ID card application that you bring the correct documents with you. For every submitted document provide the original and a photocopy. If your documents are in English or other language, provide them translated by a sworn translator to Lithuanian language.
Photos. Photos are taken at the VFS Global office. Only photos of children under one year need to be brought in advance. Requirements for the photos Click Here.
Decide about your new passport or ID card delivery. Your new passport/ID card will be sent to you (the UK address only):
- by Royal Mail Special Delivery service. Bring prepaid Special delivery envelope (up to 100 g) and track it yourself. You will need 2 envelopes for ID card.
- by delivery service provided by VFS Global Click Here.

When apply online please state the full name, surname of each applicant, date of birth and type of document (passport or ID card).

Visit the VFS Global office
You must appear in person to apply for your passport or ID card. This also applies to applicants under the age of 18 (exception for children under 1 year only).

It takes an average of 3-4 weeks to process an application.
Have your document sent by post
When you apply for your passport or ID card, you will receive a track & trace code (DX reference number). This allows you to track the status of your application online on the DX courier company’s website (www.dxdelivery.com ) in order to obtain an update about the courier process at any given time.

Inform us of the document received
Please note: Newly-issued passport or ID card is not valid at the moment when you receive it. A new document must be activated by notifying us of its receipt.
When you will receive your passport or ID card, please fill-in the form which is sent to you together with your passport or ID card, make a photo or scan it and send it to e-mail: email@example.com
