The Embassy of Republic of Lithuania in Ukraine will not issue visa to Ukrainian citizens who live permanently outside Ukraine. Please contact the Embassy of Republic of Lithuania in your country of residence.
Schengen Visas (Type "C" visa for a period of intended stay not exceeding 90 days in any 180 days period):
The visa applications are to be submitted at the Lithuania Visa Application Centre.
The applications must be submitted either by the applicant in person or by representative on behalf of applicant. i.e. should not be sent by post. All applications collected by the Visa Application Centre will be assessed by the Embassy of Republic of Lithuania, located in Kyiv.
Applicants for Schengen Visas can also apply directly to the Embassy of Republic of Lithuania.
National Visas (Type "D" visa for a period of intended stay more than 90 days in any 180 days period):
If you are planning to stay in Lithuania for more than 90 days in any 180 days period, you need to apply for a National Visa.
At the Visa Application Centers (VAC) in Ukraine a multi-entry national visa (D) may be issued to an alien:
Applications of other categories of applicants for a National Visa D are accepted at the Embassy of the Republic of Lithuania in Kyiv, 21 Buslivska str., 01901 Kyiv, UKRAINE
Passport should be valid for at least three months beyond the intended stay in Lithuania and there should be at least two empty pages available in the passport for visa sticker. A new passport must be obtained before submission of your application, if the said conditions are not met.
Please note: Passport cannot be valid for more than 10 years. Prolonged passports will not be accepted.
All applications collected by the Visa Application Centre will be sent to the Embassy of Republic of Lithuania in Kyiv for assessment and resolution. Visa Application Centre staff has no say in the visa decisions taken by the Embassy.
Visa Category chosen by an applicant must be based on the purpose of travel to Lithuania and the decision must be made by the applicant themselves – Visa Application Centre staff will not be able to assist you in taking this decision.
In case of any questions regarding visa application the Embassy may require the additional interview with the applicant.
The Embassy of Republic of Lithuania in Kyiv will return processed passports to the Visa Application Centre in Kyiv. Applicants have a choice to decide on how they would like to collect their passports and / or documents, i.e. by subscribing for a Courier Services at the time of application submission or by collecting it from the Visa Application Centre.
If the passport will receives representative (only for applicants who applies for visa C), the applicant should fill a letter of authority in front of Visa Application Centre manager. Manager should verify this letter and approve. Other letters of authority are not applicable and not valid to collect the passport by third party.
In order to receive a Shengen visa from the Embassy of Republic of Lithuania in Kyiv your main destination must be Lithuania or the longest part of your stay must be within Lithuania. If you plan to visit several Schengen countries and the duration of the stay in those countries are the same, the first entry must be through Lithuania.
Application Processing Time: Usual application processing time is 30 calendar days, excluding day of submission. A visa application should be submitted at least 30 calendar days before the intended visit and cannot be submitted earlier than three months before the intended date of travel.
Passport delivery by the courier service InTime may take 1-5 days, depending on the destination. You can find detailed information about the conditions of delivery and also track your passport at the web-siteof the InTime courier service.
All applications collected by the Visa Application Centre will be sent to the Embassy of Republic of Lithuania to Ukraine for assessment and resolution. Visa Application Centre staff has no say in the visa decisions taken by the Embassy.
