    Dear customers, we would like to inform you, By the order of the Minister of Health of the Republic of Lithuania dated 17.08.2020, Nr. V-1845, the mandatory provision of a certificate (test) for COVID-19 is introduced for everyone who comes to Lithuania on a national visa category D, category C., with the exception of drivers of international carriers. When you will entering the border certificate will valid no more than 3 days (72 hours) from the date of receipt.

    Dear customers, we inform you that from 7 July 2020, the Lithuania Visa Application Centers in the cities of Nur-Sultan and Almaty renew the acceptance of documents for visas to Lithuania for the following categories of citizens:

    drivers of international cargo transportation (Schengen visa, type C (only Lithuania) );

    All applicants for National Visas of the Republic of Lithuania (type D).

    Acceptance will be only by appointment, from 09:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs.

    Please note that when you applying for a visa, letters of mediation (Tarpininkavimo raštas - TR) for the arrival of a foreigner in the Republic of Lithuania are valid, issued no later than 30 calendar days ago.

    Increased fees for visa applications

    Please note: As of 02 February 2020 the Schengen visa fee per person (Short Stay Visa) will increase from 60 to 80 euros or the equivalent amount in your local currency.

    Also you can apply your documents to visa, on 6 month before departure.

    Dear applicants, we inform you that in addition to the Kazakhstan holidays, the Lithuanian consulate will rest from 24 December 2019 to 26 December 2019. In this regard, the Visa Application Center will not accept documents on 24 December 2019 and 25 December 2019. But on 26 December 2019, the Visa Application Center will normally accept documents.

    Dear applicants, from 23 July 2019, the procedure for issuing invitations to the Republic of Lithuania is changing. When inviting a foreigner (applicant) to an inviting individual or legal entity (in Lithuania), it is necessary to fill out and submit an invitation - a letter of mediation for a visa only through the Electronic Information Services System: https://epis.vrm.lt

    The received code must be provided to the Consulate General or the Visa Center when submitting documents.

    Article 23 of REGULATION OF THE EUROPEAN PARLIAMENT AND OF THE COUNCIL establishing a Community code on Visas (Visa Code)

    Decision on the application

    1. Applications shall be decided on within 15 calendar days of the date of the lodging of an application which is admissible in accordance with Article 19.
    2. That period may be extended up to a maximum of 30 calendar days in individual cases,notably when further scrutiny of the application is needed or in cases of representation where the authorities of the represented Member State are consulted.
    3. Exceptionally, when additional documentation is needed in specific cases, the period may be extended up to a maximum of 60 calendar days

    Under the new Regulation of the European Parliament and Council of the European Union, as of April 5, 2010 the following provisions shall apply:

    1. Only the new form of common Schengen visa application will be accepted.
    2. The passport must be issued within the last 10 years and have at least two blank pages. The expiry date of their validity should not be less than 3 months.
