The minimum processing time of a visa application is 15 days. Applicants are advised to leave enough time between the appointment date and travel date to have their visa application processed. No guarantees can be given on the visa application’s return date as delays may occur.
The Embassy is not in a position to update on the visa application status. This can only be done through the tracking application number you have received when you applied.
Please note that your passport will be kept during the visa application process.

Visa applications for the Netherlands return to VFS office from the 23 April 2019
Do you live in Iran and do you need a short stay visa for the Netherlands? From the 23 April 2019 you have to apply for your visa at the VFS office in Tehran. If your visa application was submitted at the Embassy of the Netherlands before the 23rd of April, the passport is to be collected at the VFS office.

Due to circumstances, the Embassy of the Netherlands will not be able to process the same amount of visa applications per day as before the 01 April 2019. This will result in longer waiting times for your appointment to submit your visa application.
