VFS Global service charge

Applicants applying at the Netherland Visa Application Centre shall be levied a service charge of LBP 27,250 payable in cash

  • The Visa fee & service charges is non-refundable in case the visa is refused.

Children below the age of 6 years on the date of submission at VFS Global are exempted of the Visa Fee. However VFS Global service charges will be applicable.

* The European Union has concluded visa facilitation agreements with these countries.

Adult nationals of Albania, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Macedonia, Montenegro are exempt from the visa requirement, provided that they hold a valid passport containing biometric data (fingerprints and facial image).

The Visa fees can be paid by Cash only. It is subject to change without notice. The fee is non-refundable.

The following categories do not have to pay the Schengen visa application fee:

  • children under six years of age
  • Nationals from Armenia* and Azerbaijan under 12 years old
  • pupils, students, graduates and accompanying teachers who are travelling for educational purposes
  • scientific researchers if invited by scientific institutions
  • The spouse, registered partner and children below 21 years of age as well as other dependent direct family members (children or parents from applicant or partner) of non-Dutch EU/EER Nationals travelling to or residing in another member state than that of which he/she is a national
  • Representatives of non-profit organizations aged 25 or less, participating in seminars, conferences, sports, or cultural or educational events
  • work-related visa for applicants employed by Dutch based International Organizations (OPCW/Intern. Tribunal, Unesco/ IHE/ ITC/ International Criminal Court (ICC)) and their family members who form permanently part of the household.

Please note that satisfactory proof must be submitted to establish that one of the above exemptions applies.

The visa application fee is fixed in Euros but payable in local currency. The exchange rate between these currencies is decided by the Government of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and is updated periodically.

Passport Courier Return:

The VAC will courier your passport back to you for a small extra fee of LBP 24000. Ask for this service when you submit your application at one of our service desks.

Photocopying of Documents:

If you advise our service staff that you need photocopies of certain recommended supporting documentation; for a fee of LBP 750 PER PAGE our staff will take copies of the documents.

Photograph service

Applicants using this service can have their photograph taken at the visa application centre. This will ensure that the photographs meet Embassy specifications. This service can be bought for an extra fee of LBP 10000 for 4 passport size photographs.

Form Filling Service

Our staff will assist you to complete the visa application form on your behalf a small fee of LBP 15000. If you wish to have this service, you should inform reception when you arrive at the Visa Application Center.

Premium Service

For those applicants who wish to pay extra for that personal touch and enhanced customer service, this service will guarantee you one-to-one attention with a dedicated member of staff who will guide you to a separate waiting area. Here, your application will be dealt with in stylish surroundings with refreshments available. We will also undertake any photocopying of documents that you may require. Your time is precious, and your entire experience will be one of speed, efficiency and the level of customer service you demand. Once returned from the Consulate your passport will be couriered (upon request only) to your home or office. To benefit for Premium Service kindly visit our center. There is an additional fee of LBP 90,000/- for this service.

VISA Fee Exemption:

The following pay no fee:

  • Children under six years of age.
  • School pupils, students, research students and accompanying teachers on study or training trips.
  • Third-country researchers travelling for the purpose of pursuing scientific research.
  • Representatives of non-governmental organizations who are aged 25 or under, who take part in seminars, conferences, sports events, cultural events or educational events organized by NGOs.
  • Directive 2004/38/EC governs visa exemptions and visa facilitation for family members of EU/EEA and Swiss nationals who are exercising (or have exercised) their right of free movement.
  • An EU/EEA national can be said to be exercising his/her right of free movement if he/she moves to or resides in (or has moved to or resided in) a member state other than that of which he/she is a national.
  • Important notice:
  • A Dutch national who resides in the Netherlands is not exercising his right of free movement.
  • If you are a family member of an EU/EEA or Swiss national, you may qualify for an accelerated free visa procedure as long as you meet the following criteria:

    • you are a first-degree family member (this includes a spouse, partner or child who is under 21) of an EU/EEA or Swiss national; and
    • that EU/EEA national is travelling to or is residing in a member state other than that of which he/she is a national; and
    • you are accompanying the EU/EEA national or planning to join him/her.
  • When the directive is applied, the visa fee is waived and less documents need to be submitted: no need to submit a travel medical insurance and no need to submit evidence on sufficient means for travel.
  • The applicant needs:

    • to fill out the Schengen visa application form (* The fields marked with * shall not be filled in by family members of EU, EEA or Swiss citizens (spouse, child or dependent ascendant) while exercising their right to free movement. Family members of EU, EEA or Swiss citizens shall present documents to prove this relationship and fill in fields no. 34 and 35);
    • submit a valid passport;
    • submit a passport picture;
    • submit proof of the relationship with the EU/EEA or Swiss national; and
    • submit proof that EU/EEA national is travelling to or is residing in a member state other than that of which he/she is a national; and
    • submit proof that he/she is accompanying the EU/EEA national or planning to join him/her.
