The VFS Visa Application Centre for the Netherlands in Turkey is the official outsourcing partner for consular services for the Kingdom of the Netherlands. You can apply here for your short-stay Schengen visa for the Netherlands or for a visa for the Caribbean parts of the Kingdom.

Step 2 Before you decide to apply for a visa please make sure you familiarize yourself with the information on the visa subclass you are applying for. Quick links to information on visa categories and other helpful information including Visa Fee, VFS Service Charge and Processing Time can be found on the Visa Wizard page on this website.

Step 3 Applicants should fill the Download Forms corresponding to the visa subclass under which they wish to lodge their application. Applicants can get the Download Forms by visiting the nearest Netherlands Visa Application Centre or by downloading the forms from Applications and Forms.

  • Requirement to show printed negative COVID-19 test result and signed declaration

    Since 15 December 2020, certain travelers are required to show a negative COVID-19 test result less than 72 hours old from the arrival time in the Netherlands and a signed negative COVID test declaration to the airline or ship operator and to the Dutch Royal Military and Border Police. Passengers must carry these printed documents with them for the duration of their journey. See the factsheet produced by the Netherlands’ government. Please also carefully study this general information and list of exemptions from this new rule.

  • 22 October 2020

    European Union, Schengen country and United Kingdom nationals and residents plus members of their families, as well as residents of third countries on the list established by the EU can presently travel to the Netherlands. Please note this list is subject to change, according to developments regarding Covid-19.

    For countries still under the EU travel ban, there is a limited number of exemptions (where it ís possible to travel to the Netherlands).

    Visit the relevant page on the Ministry of Foreign Affairs website to view the lists of countries, to learn more about the exemptions and to see if you can apply for a visa.

    Please note: your application will only enter the decision phase if it fulfills all Schengen visa requirements and explicitly and clearly meets the criteria for an exemption.

  • Temporary visa category partner in long-distance relationship

    A new temporary short-stay visa category ‘partner in long-distance relationship’ has been created by the Netherlands.

  • Effective from 7 September 2020, courier service has been made compulsory for the delivery of passports to Dutch visa customers, taking into account the COVID-19 warning and the health and safety of our customers and employees.
  • Attention: holding a Travel Medical Insurance is a requirement to apply for a Schengen visa. The TMI has to cover any expenses that may arise in relation to repatriation for medical reasons and/or emergency treatment during the visa holder’s stay. Expenses made as a result of pandemic situations (including covid-19) cannot be excluded from coverage. Inclusion of pandemic situations should be explicitly mentioned in your TMI. If your TMI does exclude the coverage of pandemic situations, your application may be refused.
  • 02 September 2020

    Until further notice, Schengen Member States have suspended visa representation for other Schengen member countries. This means that the Netherlands VAC, until further notice, only accepts visa applications for the Netherlands itself.

  • 31 July 2020: European Union citizens including UK nationals, and members of their families, as well as residents of third countries on the list established by the EU can presently travel to the Netherlands.   • Important: At Istanbul Visa Application Centers between 09 January 2019 – 17 January 2019 the applications without appointment will not be accepted. (except Blue-Orange Carpet / Return Visa)
