    Planning to visit New Zealand for Christmas?

    If you plan to travel to New Zealand during the period 16 December 2019 – 17 January 2020, you need to lodge your application early.

    The ideal date for lodgement of Visitor Visa applications to travel to New Zealand over the Christmas and New Year Period is by Tuesday, 25 November 2019. Given the volume of applications during this period, there is no guarantee that INZ will be able to assess your Visitor Visa Applications if these have been submitted after 25 November 2019.

    Submitting your application this December 2019?

    If you have already completed the requirements for your visa application and wish to submit them in December, there is no guarantee that INZ will be able to assess it within the given timeframe given the volume of applications. INZ Manila will also be closed for the holidays between 25 December 2019 and 02 January 2020.

    Some visitors and transit passengers can travel to New Zealand without a visa (this is for visa and transit visa waiver countries) if they get an NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority) before they travel. From 01 October 2019, they will be not allowed to travel to New Zealand if they do not have an NZeTA.

    Important changes to the Immigration New Zealand fees and levies – from 01 July 2019

    Effective Monday 01 July 2019, a mandatory International Visitors Levy by Immigration New Zealand will be applicable. This fee which costs PHP 1,260 will be applicable for each eligible applicant.

    Please ensure the correct fee is included along with the application. Any postal application received on and from 01 July with incorrect fee will not be processed.

    Please be informed that last day of submission of walk-in visa applications in Manila and Cebu before Holy Week is 16 April 2019 (Tuesday). There will be no submission on 17 April 2019 (Wednesday). Accepting of visa application will resume on 22 April 2019 (Monday).

    Important information on passport.

    • Signature on Passport (for applicants 17 years old and above) - Please ensure that passport is signed prior to submission. Passport is not valid unless signed. There is a line indicating where you should sign: “Lagda ng pinagkalooban/Holder’s Signature”. Applications with unsigned passport will not be processed.
    • Validity of Passport – In the case of people coming to New Zealand temporarily, valid either:

      • For at least 3 months beyond the date they intend to depart; or
      • For one month beyond the date they intend to depart, if the issuing government has consular representation in New Zealand that is able to issue and renew travel documents.

    This visa is for groups travelling together to New Zealand

    • for the same purpose and
    • with the same travel arrangements

    IMPORTANT:

    • Your group must have a leader who's organising the trip and will take care of the visa and arrival formalities.
    • If a member of a group has a different travel date/arrangement, s/he must apply for Visitor Visa - General as an individual.

    Information about e-Visas (Label-less visas)

    All approved visa applicants are now issued with e-Visa. Where an e-Visa is granted, the visa holder will not have a visa label in their passport but will receive an e-Visa letter via e-mail or their Immigration ONLINE account (for applications submitted online)

    This letter contains visa details including travel and other visa conditions. Visa holders are advised to print and carry this letter when they travel.

    IMPORTANT: All applicants must indicate an active, accessible and working email address in the application form.

    Changes to the Skilled Migrant Category and Essential skills policy

    New Zealand’s Minister of Immigration announced changes to the Skilled Migrant Category and Essential skills policy that will be introduced later this year. The proposed changes to the Essential Skills policy are subject to further consultation with interested parties during April and May.

    The Minister also announced the introduction of a new work to residence policy for long term holders of Essential Skills work visas in the South Island.

    Applicants may submit their completed Visa Application form along with all the required supporting documents in-person or via a representative at the New Zealand Visa Application Centre from Monday to Friday 8:00-16:00 (except public holidays).

    Applicants may submit their application, along with all other required supporting documents by walking-in, or via courier.

    We strongly recommend submitting bulk applications (5 or more applications) between 8:00 to 12:00 at the Cebu and Manila Visa Application Centres.

    Visa Application Centre currently experiencing high call volumes and wait times

    We are currently experiencing unexpectedly high call volumes at the New Zealand Visa Application Centre (NZVAC) in Manila and you may experience longer than normal wait times.

    The new NZVAC is now based at:

    Mezzanine Floor Unit M01, Ecoplaza Building,
    2305 Chino Roces Avenue Extension Makati City, Metro Manila 1231

    The operating hours are 08:00 till 16:00 but these hours will be extended as required to serve applicants.
